The Toronto Raptors head to Cleveland to take on a depleted and suddenly vulnerable Cavs team who will probably be without Jarrett Allen. The Raptors will travel to Cleveland without Jakob Poeltl, so expect another start for Collin Murray Boyles.
Cleveland is also without Darius Garland. The Cavs have struggled to start the season, with a 19th ranked offense and 12th ranked defense, a far cry from what they were expected to do. They shockingly lost by 20 in their last game to Boston, so expect them to be highly locked in and motivated to defend home court. They were 36-5 at home last season, and are 1-0 this season. This won’t be an easy game. Sam Merrill will also likely miss the game.

They should really try reducing RJ's usage or minutes to improve his defense
I know grady is a better passer and higher draft pick, but battle is a much better defender. Plus HIS shot is falling.
I'd really like to see Darko start to reward players who play well with the minutes they earn. It's time to determine minutes and rotations by play. Battle should be rewarded with 25 minutes moving forward until someone steals those minutes. It's time to start taking the future of this team more seriously. This entire roster is full of young players and at this point the importance of every players development should be equal. Battle is 2 years younger than iq. This is where management needs to take accountability. It's not battles fault; and it's not the fans fault you commited to IQ. Neither us as fans, or players themselves should be subjected to watching players who aren't fulfilling their expectations because Bobby committed to them.
Much simpler said than done, but we are way too young of a team to stunt anybody's growth. This is one of the major reasons we haven't seen any 'breakthrough' pkayers in years. I'm not dumb enough to think battle can be as elite of a shooter as Klay, but you will never know until you give him a chance. Crazier things have happened.
Jokic doesn't become Jokic if the Nuggets play him like a 41st overall pick. Austin reeves doesn't become what we see today if the Lakers treat him like undrafted player .
The only adjustment this team needs is center position and pG position, though, if quickley understand that he needs to be more wise and have more I.Q in game, then we will be seeing some winning basketball. It's hard to watch i.q playing iso ball games in every clutch minutes. He needs to understand that as much as we need scorers, he needs to be more decisive. Make more plays. In 4th, let your 2 best player, barnes and B.I. handle the ball and facilitate. He needs to be more of a spot up shooter for this team to have more chance of winning as he is a liability running point. Involve B.I more!
agree with you 100% being present is what seperates the top athletes. Jordan, Kobe, Lebron. Further watch guys like Steph Curry, the ability to stay focused while relaxed that is high level mental game. Most ppl can only stay focused with tension: fire, anger, passion. But ability to keep your focus while being relaxed is next level. That is a high meditative state and that is what Steph does. Why Yoga and meditation is important.
I've been saying this for awhile. If you want to win you NEVER play Gradey Dick. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all but he's just not an NBA player. There's no reason Ochai, Jakobe and Battle should be on the bench watching him play. IQ is at that point as well. We have too many of these types of liabilities playing 20-30 minutes a game. If we're not tanking Darko has to start benching guys or he'll be fired. We barely beat the Cavs B team and a Hawks team that's not that great.

I’m not too worried about the RJ no pass at the end. I’m very hard pressed to find moments I’m game where anyone would wave off Scottie when he demands the ball. I’m more worried that TO fans will blow this up into something’s it’s not and that will end up having an affect on the team.
Who's better on defense RJ or Battle. Similar size? Bring different skills and advantages on the offense
