As a bulls fan I can say I agree and am keeping my expectations realistic. Not expecting them to finish a top 3 seed or anything but they definitely look so much better offensively and defensively than last year. Matas has taken a step and giddeys 3 looks improved.
Also mind you bulls are 20-5 in last 25 games dating back to end of last season, so can’t really say this is a fluke.
Im hopeful for a playoff run but if they don’t make it I ain’t worried this team is young and will only keep on improving.

Bulls have been without their top scorer and shooter all year. No one thinks they’re an actual contender, but the preseason projection of 33 wins was a hilarious insult. They have a deep team and a talented young core with two legit potential breakout stars. They’re going to win about 45 games and be a tough out in the playoffs. Would love to see a 4-5 match up between them and Milwaukee or Detroit to get one of those rivalries reignited.
If you want a slightly larger sample, they’ve won 20 of their last 25 games going back to last year. They’re a good team, much better than Philly or Miami, and don’t deserve to be lumped into that group.

I get what you are saying, but consider this Why do you think the bulls are shooting good? I think it's fair to assume that they won't shoot this well consistently. But it's also fair to assume that there's a real reason they're shooting so well. They get great looks by playing unselfish basketball. No iso ball. Not saying the bulls are gonna win the championship but I think it's huge that the team is progressing, showing super good chemistry, and it has a number of super promising players (Giddey, Buzelis, Dosunmu)
