This team needs rim protection look at the record of the team with Poetl and without Poetl. Can you imagine this team with a healthy Poetl and shot blocker to come off the bench with the 2nd unit when Poetl is on the bench. Quickley has no value right now and Barnes and Ingram are not getting traded. If RJ and Ochai have a good first 10 games then trade for team needs, they would be value contracts.
Dont trade CMB he looked amazing last game and prefer not to trade Walter or Grady. If you start trading this type of player you will be in cap jail quickly. We cant afford RJ's and Ochai's next contracts. They should be traded for a rim protecting center and or possibly a top point guard.

The roster construction in relation to the depth behind Poeltl has been atrocious ever since Poeltl returned to Toronto. It's all on Bobby now – it's his roster construction with input from Darko. The decision not to sign a free agent backup center or trade for one but instead bringing back Garrett Temple is very befuddling. The roster was built one Poeltl injury away from falling apart. It's a Groundhog Day scenario…
Mamu is 6'9 barefoot… not 6'11. Mamu had 0 reb in 17 mins vs Spurs and 1 reb in 21 mins vs Mavs. Plus no blocks in either game. Ochai Agbaji for Nick Richards (Suns) is the trade to make ASAP!!!
@benrogers play jakob poeltl and IQ 40 min a game for rest of season, injury or no injury. Yak and IQ are the best tank commander duo in the nba. TANK FOR AJ DYBANTSA, who is better than cooper flagg.

Make it make sense. They spend the whole summer trying to shop RJ Barrett, the most productive and consistent member of the team. Make it make sense. Please!

I have been writing for months that Poetle is not the right center for this team. He played well last year because the team was bad.Now that the team has good players, ready to play elite basketball ,the weakness at the center position has become obvious. With a good center, Ingram, Barrett, Barnes will be way better.
Time to find an athletic center.
Expectations can be the thief of joy.. I would say its on the front office to find us some big man over such a long stretch. Now everyone will act like that is some easy feat, it definitely is not or half of teams wouldn't be desperate for Centers but at same time its been like 6 years of a lack of C depth. If you think these 4 games are indicator that Yak is bad at basketball, then you are desperately looking for reasons to think that. A lot of teams would kill for a healthy Yak right now.. but sometimes sh*t happens. We still in add talent /development mode.. yes there is more pressure on to get wins and look good out there but they need time to prove that. Everyone will say to draft best available or go with more talented player in rebuilds, but now 4 games into a season where we aiming for playoff 1st round exit its all mayhem out here and ignoring the age old rule of adding talent early in in rebuilds. Maybe Maluach turns out great? CMB sure looks like he will..

Should have never been playing in the first place. A 30 year old 7 footer with an injury history should have been at least very close to, if not fully healed before putting in starter minutes. Terrible injury management😔

I’m happy for the forced lineup change. I’d like to see IQ and JP replaced by Mamu and CMB. That gives us a better length matchup with the Rockets. Right now we should adjust lineups by matchups. Or at least adjust the minutes accordingly. Bad quarter by IQ should mean heavier minutes for JS. JP not 100% and is a negative on the court, time for Mamu or CMB.
Mamu has more assists than rebounds, and his assists are under 3 – not good for a big – all he does is hit 3's at an efficient rate. I said in the summer the team needs a back up big, t trade for someone, they didn't! The best pick? Was Flip, last year's draft, first pick of the 2nd round, would have been a steal – but we got Mogbo instead!
Texas just have big line ups and Wemby a generation talent that blew out Dallas not every team will be that tall. Aslong as CMB plays down the stretch we will be fine.
The starters are working it out, it sounds stupid (I personally hate hearing this) but for some reason in the NBA it takes these dummee's time to figure the most simplest sh!t out! ..I've seen many teams put together, look lost in the first month, then something clicks and they dominate the rest of the way – BUT – that being said, the starters must be better! And the shine has fallen off of Shead, he is not playing at the level of determination, gritt, and effectiveness as last year, same with Jamison, he is without his shot, without his hustle, comfy in that guaranteed contract. Its not their fault the team has lost 3 out 4 but while the starters get it together, it MUST be a full team effort – and this goes for Grady and JaKobe, they must be better! ..Grady's rounding into a Terrance Ross (weak a$$ bench player – not even 6th man material, 8th/9th man).
I expect a blowout with the Rockets completely and utterly dominating us in all aspects of the game–with or without Poeltl. As is, they have several inches on us at every position. Not only are their players taller and longer, they have size, weight, and strength over us as well. It would be different if we had an abundance of consistent outside shooters. …We do not! They play a dogged physical defence like us, except much more effective. If we lose by less than 25 points, I would consider that a moral victory. However, I expect the Rockets to post record stats against this Raptors team. To summarize, we suck! I love the addition of the lineup data–which shows that our starting lineup isn't working. I don't care how much money they make. At least two of them need to come off the bench. Also, we need to stop fouling or foul harder. Enough with the "and 1"s. Foul so they don't get the shot off. FT shooting has improved a bit, but our shooting from long range needs to drastically improve just to be league average. Come on Raptors… figure it out!!!
So weird. Couldn't keep him off the court last year even though he was obviously unable to stay healthy. Even though we were supposed to be tanking. But at least he got his contract extension, right?
I said it last year. If any of these guys that we refuse to sit out while we are supposed to be tanking pulls up lame at the beginning of the 25-26 season then we should find a legal way to void their contract and fire them.
Every member of last years medical staff should be fired.
Every coaching staff member who let him on the court last year should be fired.
Every non basketball operations staff member who voiced any opinion other than he should sit out the season last year should be fired.
Anyone who didn't threaten to resign if we threw out our front court depth to keep Garrett Temple and a 9th guard spot should be fired.

I just don’t get the logic of going into the season with only ONE 7 footer. Let’s not forget that the center position has been an issue since Gasol and Ibaka left. It’s truly baffling how much Masai was sleep walking at the end.
We need to trade for a Center asap. Send Dick to Utah for Walker Kessler or trade Quickly to Brooklyn for Claxton. We need to act asap. Shut down Poetle for a 2 months.

Raptors intro the players during the first game and they listed Sandro height as 6'9. His bio also list his height as the same. Nobody serious has him at 6'11.

A Martin will not get mins with big club and we passed on C and PG. Only move they made was Sandro but he measured 6’9” without shoes at Combine. The tradition is to add 1.0 inch for shoes.
It seems Jak will be out at least until next week although that may be a bit optimistic.
