  1. u want him to drive to the rim when he’s surrounded my 2 wings that are shooting under 29% from 3 allowing teams to jus stack the paint , isaolo doesn’t let people get into rythem

  2. Ant became one of the best shooters in the league while Ja lost his already poor shot. Some players have the right mindset and some don’t.

  3. Stat wise, this is worse than I thought. I knew Ja should be a better shooter by now but his decline especially at the rim, shocks me. When Antman came back with a prolific 3 ball in his bag, what the hell was Morant doing?

  4. He doesn't want you as the coach…you dares him and he isn't playing ball. Let go of my coach and second and still want me to play along, just let me go

  5. Ja Morant is physically talented but stunted emotionally. He’s unreliable, not due to injury, because he will pout and deliberately hurt the team. In addition his playing style will increase his injury rate as he ages.

  6. Modern NBA championship teams do not depend on the best player otherwise Jokic, Giannis and Luka would win every year. It's how how good the team is. Ja doesn't understand that, so trade him at value…

  7. Ja screams a player who is going to age poorly. Highly reliant on his athleticism, highly injury prone, and a poor jump shooter plus his skinny frame and small size. Unless he has a monster first half of the season I’m all in on the grizzlies trading him

  8. I understand the desire to hold onto a troubled superstar because of how rare those are and valuable those are . But that rationale, combined with the cult of identity that some cities develop with their superstars, becomes so religious that it just becomes unconditional and blind to the math of reality.

Holding onto Kawhii through his injuries? Half reasonable, cause there IS a chance that he overcomes that problem and leads your team to a title? Holding onto Ja and Zion? Who …… are not only troubled by injuries, but legitimate problems with their personalities, playstyles, work habits, defense, the complete lack of growth of any kind ……. like, you hitch your wagon to that star, you're talking about a path to a title so narrow that it's virtually nonexistent. Your odds are better if you just tank and hope to draft someone better. Even if you end up drafting low, you likely will draft someone who's a better culture-setter, and then you have a foundation, rather than the tenuous, capricious, dramatic messes that those two orgs are in right now.

  9. Ja is now a toxic asset and radioactive. Not a leader not getting any better bad attitude consistently making bad decisions. Zero confidence he will resurrect his career

  10. Ah yes houston and denver at low end while the almighty lakers is at 5 , i can't wait till we play this team

  11. POINT BLANK….IF U HAVE JA…..U GOTTA LET HIM LOOSE AND SHOOT……NO NEED OF HAVIN HIM IF U GONNA PLAY SYSTEM BALL WITH HIM…

  12. I have been screaming it for 30 years. The Oreb/2nd chance pt is the most valuable score on the floor outside a literal game winner. Now over the last few years teams have been figuring it out…all but my Lakers

  13. Mailbag question:

Hey Jason, i have a fun hypothetical i’d love to hear your take on. I firmly believe that peak luka is a step above SGA, but i’m not upset with them being in the same tier nonetheless. However, given the lakers need for perimeter defense and athleticism, and the fact that lebron is still an elite playmaker, do you think the lakers would be better or worse in a hypothetical world where they flip luka and SGA? Conversely, given the thunders need for more playmaking, better three point shooting, and the idea that i just think luka at his best is a better player, would okc be better with luka?

Bonus q: same idea with flipping Brunson and ant, where Knicks need more defense to cover for KAT but wolves could use more of a polished player with a bit more playmaking chops (at this point in Brunsons career pending another ant jump)?

Keep up the great work, been following your show for years now so it’s super cool to see you growing/getting so popular, thanks!

  14. Blazers, Bucks, Bulls, Spurs over DEN and HOU is ridiculous. None of them will win a series against them and just giving credit for easy early schedule is insane, Bulls could be 5-5 by in two weeks

  15. Mailbag: Hey jason just a thought, could you see a ja for trae young swap. I think trae young is much better than ja but the hawks seem hesitant to extend trae, I could see trae elevating the current grizzly roster and the hawks are built to complement a guard like ja

  16. Ja is a sad story–there is a young man that is well on his way to squandering his opportunity. Be a good teammate, stop playing with guns, we WANT you to do better BECAUSE we care about you as a human being, bro.

  17. MAILBAG: You said Ja is one of maybe 12 NBA players with a “foundational superstar skill” – with his being his elite athleticism and downhill pressure. Who are those other players in the NBA and what are the skills? (Jokic offensive mastery, Wembys defensive prowess, etc). Thank and keep going! Best ball pod in the game 🏀

  19. Ja thinks he's some big gun slinger but he doesn't actually shoot very well. Maybe he needs to put a silencer on that loud mouth of his. I mean, how can he be this bad right out of the barrel? I think the Grizz should definitely pull the trigger on some kind of trade…pretty sure his stay in Memphis will end in a whimper and not a bang. Do you guys think the Bullets….I MEAN WIZZARDS might want him?

  20. Chicago bulls at 2 is lazy ranking jason. Its record watching. U know its more likely they regress to the mean then continue to win.

  21. I know he got hurt but the fact Doc rivers let dame and giannis be supported in the starting lineup by TP, Brook and Kuzma last year should've gotten him fired. Can you imagine a death lineup with Dame/Rollins/Trent/Green/Giannis lol

  22. Chicago bulls at 2 is lazy ranking jason. Its record watching. U know its more likely they regress to the mean then continue to win. Be more rationale with who u think will end up in June because its not gonna be the bulls until we get a much bigger sample size of what weve seen so far.
