The Sixers Are NOT Supposed to Be THIS Good

The Philadelphia 76ers are off to one of the best starts in the NBA behind the elite play from Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe and despite Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Jared McCain all dealing with injury. With this level of play and the disappointing starts for teams like the New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, and Atlanta Hawks, could this be the year the Sixers put it all together? Let’s talk about it.

  1. I think McCain should start at point guard when he comes back and run the floor with Maxey as the shooting guard. Then let VJ play point off the bench with Grimes at shooting guard. You can also alternate between them in any way that may benefit the team in certain situations, like if one of them is having an off night or something. I think McCain has the best point guard tendencies on the team and VJ has already shown he's capable of running an offense and making good reads and getting the ball to the open man. I'm honestly kind of afraid of what this team is going to look like when PG and Embiid come back. I just hope it doesn't mess up the flow putting these older guys out there that don't move like they used to. I'm more worried about PG than Embiid though. He just seems like he doesn't really care about the game and is too inconsistent as a player

  2. don't get too cocky about this sixers fans, remember in 2013 when yall started 3-0 and your rookie (then Michael Carter Williams) looked amazing? I'm getting strange deja vu from that icl

  3. VJ seems like he might be a really special player, no one has ever done what he's doing. 25/5/5 through his first three games as a pro. Let's see if he can keep it up for the rest of the season, and years to come.

  4. I think Maxey was the best vet for VJ to have. I'm a 6ers fan and this is the most athletic ive seen the team in what? a decade? its been unreal and we have nailed the past two drafts.

  5. Ngl here I didn't expect the Sixers will have this type of start with VJ Edgecombe getting off to a blazing start as a rookie.

  6. The main issue with the Sixers are their frontcourt and it always be a problem since Embiid is such an important piece there.

  7. All they need is to not regress the offense. Maxey is leading the offense and it's fast and fluid. When embiid was leading it was throw it to him and just kinda stand around and see what happens. If they can fit embiid into the offense they're currently running, they are gonna be hard to stop

  8. Joel already said that he's just getting in where he fits in. I think that he is accepting of his new role. He is guarding himself against another injury and playing it safe so he is happy to let the young guns take over. Paul George is another story he gata get with it!

  9. "My brother is a Sixers fan … I want them to succeed." No one can take your channel, you're just a fundamentally different type of person than most NBA youtubers.

  10. None of these are locks at all but you have

    Potential MVP candidate in Maxey
    ROY candidate in Edgecombe
6th Man of the Year candidate in Grimes
and if embiid gets hurt and Bona is in the starting lineup there's a great conversation for DPOY

and they look this good with PG and McCain supposedly coming back somewhat soon and a role player of barlowe out as well

they also have Auburn's star player in Johni Broome who hasnt played yet who could potentially be good in the future
