There has been no franchise in the history of sports that has had it worse than pelicans fans. The constant teasing of potential every single year just to get kicked in the shin with injuries is absolutely heartbreaking. People forget there are true points where the pelicans were on the cusp of greatness just to get knocked right back down. Had Demarcus cousins not torn his Achilles the big 3 of AD, Boogie, and Jrue had real chance at winning a championship. People also forget that here recently the pelicans were the number 1 seed in the west half way through the season (right after the Zion 360 dunk as time expired against the suns). There has been and always will be a dollar on the end of a fishing line that gets ripped away from pels fans at the last second. And none of this even includes the atrocious Head coach and gm incompetencey that are also omnipresent.

I feel bad for Pels fans. It’s been 5 or so years since the AD and Holiday trades, both were supposed to fleeces by the Pels, and this is what they have to show for it.
This reminds me of the Philadephia trade to Boston to get Markelle Fultz at no. 1 and give Boston the no. 3 pick and a future first rounder. All the while it was reported that Boston never really planned to draft Fultz and was targetting Jayson Tatum,, whom they eventually drafted also at no. 3

The Pacer they gave up was top-4 protected. I feel like I'm going nuts. This is such a basic fact to look up.
Zion is a bust, the only logical move is to sell him for whatever price because he is eating up the budget of their franchise yet isn't good enough to carry the team or stay healthy. This is not his first year, it is already obvious that he is not a superstar on the level of LeBron, MJ, Shaq and others, just a regular athletic guy with zero discipline or motivation, can't stay healthy and consistently ruins the season for his team. Do yourself a favor and sell him, he is not good enough to build a franchise around.
Poole for McCollum was good move cause they took a better player. They also didn't have to offer new contract to anyone of their players and New Orleans is not a great market for free agents – they needn't eligibility this summer. The Indiana trade is ok cause they didn't know. But their draft was awful for both picks

As a pelicans fan I fully expect the team to be relocated at some point. It’s genuinely the worst run team in the NBA. I’m so tired of it.
To be fair the pels did look pretty good against the clippers. They shot from 3 well and fears is a decent rookie….but yea please keep losing!!! 😂

They were having a good season in 2017-18 before Boogie Cousins torn his achilles. Then they draft Zion, and trade for Lonzo and Brandon Ingram, and all three of them had injury problems. The same happened with Dyson and now with Dejounte Murray.
If the Pelicans keep the current Group of guys in the rotation they will start looking like the team of two years ago. Only problem is this team is not familiar with one another. Give it a few weeks.

To this day still dont get why the NBA is still committed to New Orleans. The Jazz even with pistol Pete didn't draw well. When the original Charlotte Hornets relocated it is because of bad ownership under George Shinn. Even with CP3, Davis and Zion, the hornets/pelicans franchise continue to underachieve and among the bottom teams in attendance.
