Man. CJ looks awful. Champagnie didn't step up in the starting role. Silver lining. Alex Sarr 19, 8, 7 assists 3 stocks. Good Knicks team I thought we fought more than the Orlando game.
If we had a real head coach, we would’ve won three games
CJ has been as bad as Bub both need to stay on the bench. Only players that should stay on the team are: Tre, BC, Sarr, George, Bagley, Riley, Watkins, Kispert, Johnson, TV and Maybe Cam everyone else is straight garbage and should bounce or be bought out asap.
If Sarr had a C with strength and more girth to play next to like a Towns or Sabonis this team would be fringe playoffs
Come on Boozer and I was right about BC should finish the year avg 14-16 ppg
I want Boozer in the draft over Peterson bc Sarr needs a strong PF next to him to make this all work. We can get a great vet PG in FA once we trash CJ and Middleton. Wish we had Holiday! He’d be perfect!!

Its time to shake up this lineup majorly. Sarr, Bilal, and George are the only ones who should stay as locked in starters. AJ Johnson and Cam need to start. Tre is first guard off the bench, followed by Will, and then JC, and Tristan… and would it kill you to try and play branam?… bub, CJ, Bagley, kris and Kispert should take a seat

At the beginning of the season, I was all hype on CJ to guide our young guys…
I made a mistake.
Can we stop talking about how this team is growing. Very young team but they are not very good
I think what we can expect are the coaches to put the players in a position to be competitive fo three quarters of the game. At least one quarter they will not be put in that position, by design, to insure the loss.
I personally would like to see more content centered around keeping thier 2026 1st round pick and how that race is potentially shaping up early in the season. There are a lot of stats and trends you could be breaking down on that front… e.g. upcoming games for other teams with an incentive to tank, western conference vs eastern conference teams in the lottery / bottom four and how that might be a threat to us (whether we tank or not)
For example, the jazz pick is also top 8 protected or else it goes to the Thunder… they currently are outside the bottom 4 to guarantee that but will that hold?
NO on the other hand has no incentive to tank but are winless… are they really that bad? Do they have injuries they are dealing with? Who have they played and what has been the margin of victory?… Will they end up "stealing" a bottom four spot just because they are that bad? Other teams off to horrible starts that were not expected to be e.g. IND, DAL, SAC… that control their first round pick… will they also tank and potentially challenge for a bottom 4 spot?
As it stands WAS and UTH have to both finish with bottom four records to guarantee their picks do not convey… BKN and NO just seem like they are "that" bad and various other teams will likely look at where they are at unexpectedly and assess thier chances vs the rest of the conference to compete and make a decision from thier to tank or not…
This season is still about developing our young players skills and I like what I see sans Bub on that front… that's always going to come with growing pains e.g. developing Kyshawn as an elite perimeter defender and primary ball-handler are going to come with growing pains and is not an ideal strategy for winning games but crucial for the front office to assess what moves they want to make via trade, FA and the draft…
Of course they can ‘learn’ to play defense for entire game. It’s a matter of concentration and will. Not playing those 2 vets would help. Also their defense crashed when they went to fast offense. In the ‘60s/‘70s defense was 💯 better and play was plodding. The youngsters still have much to develop including when to bear down. Now they certainly seem lost during opponent’s streaks!
