This was just horrible all around. Terrible effort by everyone except castle, Harper, keldon, DJG, and Carter Bryant. The spacing when wemby got the ball was atrocious, so every time there was a double or triple team, he had nowhere to pass it too, then the suns hit like 60% from 3. I'm surprised we only lost by 12. I think the spurs' defensive mindset is to let teams beat you from 3 because wemby has the paint essentially locked down, but you don't just leave everybody open for 3 either 😂. Then, mitch with his terrible rotations. We needed defense and only puts Carter Bryant in the game for garbage time, and what does Bryant do? Score 10 pts and get what should have been 3-4 steals. It was just a horrible performance from literally everyone on the Spurs team. Coaching included.
Suns will surprise ppl this season. The ball movement is back since the black hole Durant is gone and still have two starters are out. Durant is a great shooter but not team friendly. Houston coach is tough and I expect a rift at some point. Rag on me if you want but it’s true. Look at his record okc, golden state, Brooklyn and the suns. Just not team friendly play.

wemby was trash all night long. truly embarrassing preformation from a so called mvp caliber player if not for him stat padding in the 4th during the blowout he would have finished with 2pts.
Why they dont pass wimby the ball
it was an aweful game but the spurs werent playing the usual way. Suns got calls and on top of hitting almost all their 3s. Harper shouldve had another shot for flagrant to his face man, it was crazy how they didnt review that. Everything for the spurs was on the losing end.
Wemby doubled/tripled every possession and Spurs couldn't knock down the open 3's. Dylan's injury hurts more than the loss tbh.
So painful to watch this game because they only lost by being selfish and should of passed to Wemby more
Refs had the under money line on Wemby. Absolute shit show. I don't make those accusations often but that was absolutely wild. Harper got litterly clobbered on the face and no call. Castle was getting held and still picked up fouls. They was litterly shoving Wemby and no calls. BUT YET when wemby is establishing position they can just run into his arm and flop and get a call. Shit was whack. I don't blame the suns they did what they should have done. But someone needs to investigate those refs.
As someone who spent 14 years in SA, I can say that Spurs fans are the biggest whiners when it comes to the refs. There's a victim complex because theyre a mid market.
Anyway, they're d is really bad without wemby and sometimes with hin. He erases a lot of their mistakes
This game was very reminiscent to his Wembanyama's "stinker" in Phoenix last season.

They played good D on Wemby all game deneyed him the ball by crowding him. Suns were hot from 3 and Spurs were all out of rythm. Plus Harper injury now. Just wasn't Spurs night it happens. Good win for the Suns
Oh yeah forgot to mention a lot of questinable fouls calls during the game like castle getting 3 fouls called on him in 15 seconds. Wemby had a lot of fouls. The refs called like it was another gambling night going on. Harper got slapped in the face and no flagrant, man it was ridiculous lol

Spurs had 0 back up Bigs for Wemby's relief, yes Biyombo doesnt count. Luke, Jeremy or Kelly being in the game would have made a big difference. They will keep getting beat if Wemby is the only 5 available for the night.
Dude everything was going wrong for wemby almost the entire game. They kept doubling him and sometimes triple teaming him and there seemed to be no adjustments. Like you said Mitch Johnson was on something because idk what kind of plan this was. Forget Devin booker's performance, their whole team could not miss from the 3.
People in other comment sections be acting like the don't double Book EVERY time he has the ball, they all complaining about Wemby being double and triple team, now he understands how Book feels!
Dunn gets good looks at the bucket. He shoots like he did tonight and Suns will be able to hang.

The Suns showed how it’s done on Wemby. He’s gonna shoot over anyone and he isn’t a body banger, so you might as well frustrate him with smaller guys who can keep up with his feet and make it hard for him to handle the ball by getting underneath him and swiping/swarming the ball while he’s trying to get to his shot.
The suns aren't bad! They just started bad and not healthy. We play as a team at all times, make or miss

Its not that Wemby didnt get the ball, he got the ball plenty but immediately got double or tripled and passed the ball to the open man….. who then shot up a brick so the suns were never punished for doubling. If spurs knock down those open shots Suns wouldve had to be more cautious on doubling Wemby
Im here for the ratio. Spurs need a real moment to help them gel together as a team. Still young, hungry and growing. They need to set the pace for the long haul.

It was a terrible game to watch, Suns couldnt miss and spurs were playing terrible, yes Wemby was being tripled teamed but noone aside from Castle capitalized on the space created by that Wemby gravity, everyone had an off game for san antonio. We need Fox, we need Sochan and we really need Luke
