DEBATE: Is Miami Heat Trading for Ja Morant Worth the RISK? | Miami Heat Podcast
Miami Heat face a potential franchise-altering decision: is Ja Morant the answer or a risky distraction? With trade rumors swirling around the Memphis Grizzlies star and his unrest in Memphis, David Ramil and Wes Goldberg break down how Morant could reshape Heat culture, impact their up-tempo offense, and raise questions about locker room chemistry. Will Miami pursue Morant, or stick with their newly installed Noah LaRoche-inspired system that’s delivered a top-10 offense?
Key topics include Morant’s trade value, the feasibility of Miami sending Tyler Herro or Andrew Wiggins to Memphis, and whether Morant’s pick-and-roll style fits the Heat’s vision. The hosts also analyze the fallout from Precious Achiuwa signing with the Sacramento Kings and explore Miami’s backup center options amid ongoing roster instability. Can the Heat build on their early-season offensive surge, or does a superstar shakeup loom on the horizon?

Would you prioritize Miami’s new offense or adding a star like Morant?
At this point Ja is a Westbrook with immaturity
He's an offensive player . Miami heat need right now need a player capable for defensive ang good iq.
I think it's a risk to trade specially Morant paid high.

Heat don't need another diva like butler.
They shouldn’t add anymore bad egos after that jimmy fiasco last season. Ja is also injury very prone
Heat don’t need Morant. Heat need a replacement for Rozier.
Get Ja🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Locked On trippin. Making excuses on why the Heat shouldn't…..very biased. Shame
Ja is whack and hasn’t been a top 10 pg in a long time
Why is this even a conversation? Yall just wanna talk about anything
Miami needs to avoid the circus clowns after Butler's fiasco, having a guy arrested in a team hotel for betting against his own team, and the last few years of inconsistency and lack of continuity. The modern NBA is about roster construction, financial flexibility, and a strong culture. I prefer investing in hungry foreign players, especially in South Florida, where cultural diversity and community fit will never be an issue.
Keep this dude away from Miami. We literally hired the same guy who implemented the limited screen and high tempo offense in Memphis that Ja hated. So if that whole plan we have been building since the off season goes down the toilet. I just don't think he's much better or even better than Herro at this point
Don't touch him
Ja or Lamelo Ball or even Trae Young as a rental (contract year) vs cavs Mitchell, knicks Brunson, sixers Maxey, pistons Cunningham, matchup in the playoffs, the Heat got a chance to win those matchups, with Herro it's just a matter of who is going to turn him into barbecue chicken once again, stars shine in the playoffs, team concepts nonsense get bounced in the play-in and first round of the playoffs.
I wouldn't want Morant even if we could sign him outright without giving anything up. You thought the jimmy situation was bad? this dude is a couple more incidents away from being the next Demarcus cousins, ultra talented but still more of a detriment to the team because of the immaturity. He would completely kill the vibe we are currently building, no ty. And last season/this season just proves how important chemistry is.
i say hell no. lets consolidate with Mitchell and Powell going forward. we know what happens when we invite controversial types to Miami.
If you claim that we don't need more offense and use that against ja. The same applies to herro.
I like how they said he’s not a bad priced contract but yet we have bam who’s going to make more money than ja
I dont think JA can take the Heat to the promised land.Somebody like Giannis or Jokic is what Heat needed.
Love Ja, but hard pass even though I think he goes for 3 firsts max. He doesn't want to be in this type of offense, he has legitimate shooting concerns, and he has major injury/characters concerns
Stop pushinh for ja. Are you not heat fans? Are you espn? Spewing dumb shit as long as you get paid for clout?😅😅😅
You talk about Ja being on a second tier of PGs, still better than Tyler. For as much crap you have on Ja off the court, all of Tyler's crap is on the court. Tyler returning will be like when he returned to the offense and disrupted all chemistry, every freaking time he was off for long periods the team looked way better. Way til he returns and all will go go to shit again! Oh, and Ja wanting screens, like Tyler's offense isn't dependant on that even more than Ja! You guys need to record these pods then listen to them back before you post. A 15 yo can poke holes on your arguments
I'll be real. I'd rather pick up KCP than Ja. He'd be better for our composition
No to Jay Norant 😅😅
No Joy Rant
