If you’re going to keep him as a PG, get him a bucket getter, spring & or lob threat / guys who get you simple assists just by simply passing the ball to them…. With no AD. Cooper, Hardy( as a 2 guard not less PG), Max, PJ, Gaff… I’ll live with the defense but the spacing is so much better before they have to go back to big lineup ball when AD is back….Also one last note some fans don’t get Hardy is 23 & can get his shot off anytime…
As a starter, Jaden Hardy has averaged 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over 15 career starts, showcasing his scoring and playmaking ability…
If he can produce anywhere near that when starting that’s better than any 2 guard on the team not talking about Kyrie though.

Talk about how Kidd took Flagg out when he was hot in the 1st, then when he finally went back in in the 2nd he injured his left shoulder again and was playing through pain. Didn't play like himself for the rest of the game. That's two games now where he has an injured shoulder and people are just hating on him for not playing well.

Did you think the mavericks were going to win the NBA championship this year? If so that was a foolish thought. Without Kyrie they had no chance. They don't have a leader on the floor right now. Kyrie is not the perfect leader but it demands respect

I think we're at a point trying to redefine who we are as a team. We're having to rebuild chemistry now….everything revolved around luka from the plays to the players surrounding him and EVERYTHING has changed…we need time, realistically contending this year was far fetched, not impoossubke though….it woulda been 1 if the greatest stories if it happened
The fix is simple: DLo needs to run point and be the first option. When he's the clear initiator, the rest of the team can play off his actions.
Right now, the Mavs are lost offensively because there's no clear pecking order or strategy. Players don’t know where to be or what actions to take.
If DLo is established as the primary scorer or playmaker:
1Teammates will space the floor to give him room to drive.
2They’ll position for rebounds or spot up for threes.
3They’ll set off-ball screens to get open for his passes for teammates like Klay
4They’ll cut to the basket knowing he’ll find them.
I believe when Kyrie Irving comes back he’s gonna be the starting point guard and they will be a different team it’s Kyrie team

Kidd at the direction of Nico, remember Kidds extension this past summer, $ talks BS walks. By playing Flagg at point any win will be credited to him as a focal reason why. This like the riding Luka like a horse and Irving forgeting how to play against the Celtics and yep he too got a big contract extension even though he will be coming off a ACL injury. Nico should have been fired but the new owners were given Flagg to allow the trade cause Adam S. Had to have a replacement for LaBron in the top TV market. Luka was playing against grown men when he was 16. He was NBA ready when drafted. Cooper needs more time and needs to be in his natural position

My expectations for this team faded away on Feb 1, 2025. I’m still a fan of this team just not expecting anything from them anytime soon. Cooper Flagg is young and has so much potential, our only hope is Kyrie.
This team can be so good but this lil plan is so lame and not working and it’s even being implemented well
I trust Kidd when it comes to player development. I also don't blame him for the Mavs record, as it takes multiple star players to win with any consistency in this league, and the Mavs currently have none.
