Missed the live unfortunately. The one thing I would add to the first call when comparing Shead to Quick is the level of talent we get from a player like Quick. The realized version of Quick as lead PG is very high. He is a very talented player. Processing has improved this game alone and we know he has the ability to shoot 40%. If we look at Steph for example, he is a PG that is very much known for his off ball play, and I think Quick can fit a similar mold, obviously to a lesser degree. Your take about others on others being the table setters is bang on Rob.
Scottie has matured. There is less celebrating and goofing around from him. Yeah he will still get frustrated about calls but when things are good he is focused
I won't forget how just around 2 weeks ago in preaseson almost everyone had given up on Scottie Barnes but you were the only one who said that he was going to be fine & to keep that same energy once the season started.
I mean you can't blame most of us because we could only go off of what we saw but how were you the only one who knew Rob? You definetely deserve huge respect and flowers for that!
For a laugh, search YT for "the bears are who we thought they were" to see the Chicago Bears coach in the NFL demonstrate a complete meltdown. You will never forget it and that it is why it has become such a well known modern reference.
My issue with IQ, besides the shooting, is how he walks the ball up the court or squanders fast break advantages by stopping and holding onto to the ball too long. I think his shot will come, so thats not my biggest worry. But the way he slows things down might never change. But then again, the Raptors' offense is working now, so maybe I'm nitpicking because I just don't like the way he plays. If the whole team, including the coaches, changes their image of how to use him, then I agree with you that we should be patient with him.
Giannis flexing on the basketball was crazy
This was an awesome game really looks like they're starting to get back to their brand of basket ball.
That being said it really showed how much they could use a consolidation trade. Battle didn't even play after just going 6/6. Mogbo and ocahai played garbage minutes. Gradey and jakobe played limited minutes.
All teams are looking for shooting and defense and we have specialists for both that would make for some nice sweetners in a trade package.
Sad that RJ is our big trade chip he's fitting in so nice but I don't see how we extend him while also needing to extend Mamu and find his adequate replacement.
Sidenote jak looked a lot better and lighter on his feet. Nice to see his feet leave the ground
