If the goal is to move the Grizzlies out of Memphis, sure trade Ja because I was at the game Monday and the fans were cheering their butts off for Ja. People on the internet saying trade Ja are not the majority of Grizzlies fans I promise you.
The only way Ja should leave the Grizzlies at this point is if Ja request a trade.

Thanks Joe for pointing out my thoughts…we don’t know specifically what Iisalo said when calling Ja out; we don’t know specifically what Ja said back that got him suspended. At this point opinions are speculative until that is revealed. I’m hanging on to hope at this point this can be fixed.

Not today Joe. Time to let it all out? Ja is not done in Memphis unless Memphis is not serious about completing for a championship. This is the issue a new coach doing old shi#!. The roster says playin team. What has KCP done? You think Ja doesn't see that? The role players are backups on championship teams. Jaren and Ja would be starters on other winning teams. Everyone else would struggle for minutes. It has to be frustrating to try to help a coach thats knows it all from Euro league. A GM that can't build around the ONLY superstar on the team. The Grizzlies are at their best when Ja is directing the offense. Watch the body language of Ja & JJJ. After a while it seems like Ja looses interest and JJJ is in his feelings about a bad foul. Where are the high 5s for Ja, the teammate handshakes for Ja. When is the last time you heard a starter praise Ja. There is something brewing in the locker room. Why are the Kings watching Ja. They had a cheaper version in Fox. Memphis should be watching for DeRozan and Lavine. Anyone one of those two would put us in deep playoff talks. I think Kleiman has a trade package worked out. I wouldn't trade JA but the JJJ and Ja tandem could be in the last years.

Lets simply call it like it is. A lot of the problems rise with Ja and Jaren. Jaren does not attack the glass. Additionally, he fouls way too much. He disappears in the playoffs. Ja? Ja's heart is bigger than his body. He takes a lot of beatings attacking the basket and fighting through screens. He just cannot stay healthy. He doesn't have the body for it. Also, he is only hitting something like 31% of his 3 point attempts over his entire career and this year has been atrocious for him from the 3 point line. He gambles too much on defense, but he loses his focus way to easily when things do not go his way and I think that is may be the biggest challenge for him to overcome going forward. Of course, he sees the court like no one I've seen recently. His passes are more exciting sometimes than his dunks. Ask Draymond what's wrong. You may hate him, but he's always the truth.

It’s been years of this Ja off court shit. If it were up to me I would trade Ja and JJJ for draft picks and a serviceable pg and big man. I don’t necessarily think they need to tank this season but they need to readjust. Every other player besides Ja and Jaren seem locked in. The bench on the Grizzlies is the highest scoring for a reason.

Joe, among all the podcasts discussing Ja’s situation (many with their own agendas), you’re the only one addressing the issue that matters most: mental health. Ja Morant is the reason I got back into the NBA six years ago and became passionate about this team. I hope all this mess leads to renewed synergy between him and the franchise, but above all, his wellbeing and joy come first. Sometimes, when every option has been explored, it’s best for both sides to part ways amicably, painful and costly as that may be. I’m sure there are sympathetic organizations in the NBA that still see Ja as the generational talent he is and would fully support him in realizing his true potential while paving the way for their team’s fast track to a championship.
Joe, you are correct that the trade question depends on what value can be gained. I agree that teams would not value Ja highly now, but that can change in the future. If a contender loses their PG due to injury, they may be willing to overpay to get Ja. Then, the Grizzlies should jump on the opportunity to make a good trade.
I feel like part of it is Ja and part of it is the system. The first half of these games, Ja would want the ball but other people would try to go and do stuff.
I think Isalo just wants everyone to get a touch but that doesn’t work when you have guys that can’t do anything with the ball.
We really got Cam Spencer starting at point guard because GG Jackson got any serious minutea

Putting inquiries touching upon Ja's mental health on the record to garner clicks which fuel national media attention/speculation and insert even more drama & pressure into Ja's life is just, well, cheap & completely uncalled for. It's actually making things even more difficult for Ja, somebody who has been somewhat open about his mental health. There is a way to express hopefully genuine concern about Ja without putting it on the record for national media to feast upon when, well, it's clear to the world he is going through a rough time right now. Where is the conscience/care about using questions touching upon Ja's mental health/wellbeing to garner clicks?

Thomas lisalo is the problem with the grizzlies, he should not be an NBA coach. When a player starts to find their rhythm lisalo pulls him out of the game and replaces him with someone that can’t score, he has players on the bench that can score but want play them like GG Jackson. He has no idea how to coach a NBA team.
