I Tried To Warn YOU About The Chicago Bulls Shocking The NBA

The Chicago Bulls have been the biggest surprise of the NBA so far. They are on top of the Eastern Conference and have been defeating teams that were supposed to look better than them. Josh Giddey has been playing like an MVP candidate and an All-star. Giddey is averaging a near-triple double once again. Nikola Vucevic has just made a game-winner and has been revitalized in this new Bulls offense. Matas Buzelis is looking like a future superstar and is starting to have a real breakout season. The Bulls are winning and it doesn’t seem to be a fluke as Chicago has the NBAs 6th best offense, 12th best defense and 7th best net rating. No one really expected the Bulls to look this good early in the season but Chicago has a solid supporting cast in Tre Jones, Isaac Okoro, Ayo Dosumnu, and Jalen Smith, which is why they have looked solid despite missing players like Coby White and Zach Collins.

During the preseason in one of my videos, I already talked about how I thought the Chicago Bulls would look drastically different this year. Because dating back to last season, there were already signs that the roster’s identity was having a massive internal shift. Specifically after the Zach Lavine trade, the Bulls built themselves back up around the fast-paced yet methodical and highly instinctual playmaking of Josh Giddey, which happens to also pair really well with hard-charging athleticism of then-rookie Matas Buzelis. The Bulls have been winning with fast play, sharing the ball, and having a ton of depth. Coach Billy Donovan is playing around 10-11 guys every night and the team plays the same five-out type of offense all-game long, with a roster that’s got just enough shooting to maintain scoring consistency across all possible lineup combinations, that’s also got enough athletic perimeter defenders from top to bottom

Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs have started the season better as expected, the OKC Thunder have been asserting their dominance as defending champs as expected, Kevin Durant and the Rockets are looking good. But in the Eastern Conference, with down years for teams like the Celtics and the Pacers, the Chicago Bulls have a real chance to be a top-4 seed. But can Josh Giddey continue his great MVP-caliber play? Can Matas Buzelis develop in the middle of the season? Will this team continue to play at this high-octane pace on both ends of the floor until the playoffs? In this video, let’s talk about why the vibes have been so good in Chicago and why the NBA should pay attention to the Bulls early season success.

  1. The Bulls play locked in on defense and they got real solid length with Okoro Giddey and Buzelis on that starting lineup. Imagine this team with Markkanen 😮
