Running for sixth straight MVP baby.
Jokic had a shaky start but is averaging a triple double.
We just cannot have Jokić playing 36 minutes every night
Miami is for real, even missing Hero. Jokic was much needed last night with the bench playing like they did
Jokic is not performing well this season
Jokic this season: 24/13/12, 2 stl, 1 blk, on 70% TS, and 4.4 ast/to ratio
Exactly by comparison Sga in pick and roll with Chet would NEVER!!! BE that level of success as Jamal with the joker
He’s been in 2nd gear until the last few games. Moved into 4th gear now
A couple of dumb turnovers amd missed threes last night. Thats the kind of stuff that needs to change. But the cutting is looking really good and you can tell the bench rotations are developing their chemistry.
I like our bench way more than the last few seasons. I think Adelman is still experimenting with different lineup combos in the non-jokic minutes. I also have zero worries about Cam. He hit a few 3's last night and hes still contributing in other ways.
He would have had over 20 assists if the Nuggets had better shooters.
THE MORE I WATCH EUROPEANSPLAY BASKETBALL, THE MORE I REALIZE AMERICAN BASKETBALL SUCKS
When Cam starts putting it together, this offense is going to sizzle. Already elite, but imagine 4 or 5 3s from Cam and then the counters that he’ll get off of that.
Not a shaky start by any stretch. He's intentionally taken less shots to get more looks for all the new guys. The only shaky start was game 1 where he couldn't hit a 3 to save his life.
Jamal is damn good passer when he wants to be.Unfortunately most of time he is too selfish and hogs the ball to death hehe
I think a big thing about Cam Johnson is that the offense still looks great when he isn't playing well because he can do things off ball like screening, relocating to the open position to create space and actually being able to dribble and pass. He definitely has been disappointing compared to what our expectations were, but I still believe he will be a great fit for this team just like you said. It's odd that the bench numbers don't reflect what we see in game. The bench looks so much better. It just hasn't fully translated to a great plus minus.
Agreed on Cam. Passing out of a good shot can be worse than taking a questionable shot. Passing when the team expects you to shoot takes the whole lineup out of rhythm. Braun is doing the same thing right now. Evidence: pay attention to how quick Murray is to pass to THJ vs Cam. He has started looking off Cam, even when he's wide open.
Should of been over 20 assists if Braun and Watson could finish
The national narrative that Jokic has been struggling was way overblown imo. The reality is he had a bad first game of the season v. GS when he shot 2 of 13 from 3. Why he thought putting up 13 3's was a good idea, well, who knows? In any case he's shooting 39% from 3 since then. In a few other games he just wasn't shooting much while trying to get team mates going. He took only 1 shot in a half in one of those games, more like 2018 Jokic. Anyway, he'll be as dominant as ever this season. I have zero concerns about him. What's been so surprising so far is how good the Nuggets defense has been. 3rd rated overall and 8th adjusted for schedule. That's a huge leap from last year.
Jokic is the best offensive player in NBA history.
Jamal needs to score better, 20 points is just not it
