LEAP: Is Detroit Pistons’ Jalen Duren Ready to DOMINATE and Cash In With a Breakout Season?
Detroit Pistons’ Jalen Duren is making headlines with his electrifying start to the season, posting nearly 18 points and 11 rebounds a game while dramatically elevating the team’s offensive and defensive potency. Is Duren leaping to a $30 million contract—and can he sustain this high level against tougher competition? The Pistons now lead the NBA in points in the paint, fueled by Duren’s dominance and improved pick-and-roll chemistry with Cade Cunningham.
Ku Khahil examines Isaiah Stewart’s rise as one of the league’s premier big-man defenders and debates whether Stewart should start alongside Duren or remain the backup five for optimal team balance. Key topics include Detroit’s recent roster move to add Isaac Jones, the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Malik Beasley’s return amid a gambling investigation, and crucial lineup decisions as Tobias returns from injury. Are the Pistons on the verge of a breakout, or is lineup volatility their most significant obstacle?

Duren has superstar potential. If he refines his jumpshot. Watch out! 😮
Never forget that Ku was ready to move on from a 19 year old Duren, in exchange for Nic Claxton
It's gonna be hard to not start Stew and Duren together. Stew is not a volume shooter yet but his defense you just have to have on the floor as much as possible.
I’d like to see Stewart start the rest of the season next to Duren.
Chauncey is cooked……
Dude idk if youve heard but the fbi already cleared him. Do you really think he’d be anywhere near guilty if they cleared him? The NBA is still doing the investigation because they’re trying to look like they’re doing their due diligence. You probably haven’t been keeping up with his Snapchat stories because you don’t seem to be that much of a fan of him but he seems extremely confident that he will be cleared sometime soon and will return to the Pistons, you keep explaining your point of view, but I still can’t understand why you’re so pessimistic about people being excited about his potential return.
