The Toronto Raptors just absolutely dominated the Milwaukee Bucks behind two dominant performances of Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett. However, there were a couple of things that really made the difference in tonight’s game. Ben Rogers breaks it down.

    Was a fun game to watch. They made it hard on the refs to give the game to the bucks. Raptors spent just as much time driving the paint as giannis did.

    Crazy impressed with how they have adjusted and improved over the last 3 games. Tonight was the best. Still think we need another 7 footer for insurance if nothing else. Still think we have some players on the bench that are not earning their spots. But I am now looking forward to the next game.

    Milwaukee just played last night. Maybe wait until they play a legit top 5 and not when they are playing back to back game. If they can win, it means Raptors is legit.

    I was at the game. Man them boys put belt to ass. I knew I was in for a game when they dropped 39 in the 1st and Yak yakked it on the Bucks.

    It's time for a road trip, so give it a week, and the roller coaster will be back into 'the sky is falling' part of the ride. Lol

    I didn't believe it at first but 8 games is enough for me to trust Scottie's improved shooting. The work he's been putting in paying off and Scottie being able to space the floor changes everything for the offense and his role in it. He doesn't have to take a back seat like I thought he did. Its really exciting.

    Looking at the numbers and how he's been missing shots strong more than weak IQ putting on muscle may have messed his shot up a little bit. I think it's going to take a little longer than you'd hope for him to get the efficiency and volume of 3s up to where we're used to.

    Here is an example of what NOT to do – last third of the 1st quarter, Jax is out, Barnes is lifted … and Giannis goes nuts scoring 7 of a 9-0 run. The lesson here, its a lot to ask CMB with less than 10 pro games under his belt to guard the Greek Freak (even with help). Maybe CBM in year 3 can handle such a colossal assignment but not now! Scottie and a starter (wing), or Jak and a starter (wing) playing with the second unit – and not double starter wing and the second unit when playing a monster PF or C who can dominate in flashes.

    Im more like relieved that Scottie and BI jell well while Barrett fits. IQ finding his spot and facilitating is just a bonus.

    The reason we’re winning is because the defense improved. In the first couple games we saw some of the most lazy defending or too much over helping.

    Coach didn’t use the same system he did first 4-5 games. It’s not the players fault – they weren’t perfect but it was the plays.

    Since he dropped it – we did better. Yes against opponents with an asterisk at the time but this game especially I was happier with.

    In a big 3 setup – arguably 4 in our setup the ball gets shared and somebody has to defer a little bit. I love how Scottie has adjusted on defence and is creating opportunities. Ingram and quickly are defferring currently but adjusting nicely – it’s going to be a good year.

    The Dallas road trip was tough because we are not tall enough upfront but in the eastern conference what centres do you have to worry about but when you face 7 footers in Wemby Ad Kd and Şengün it’s going to be tough. We have bodies for a Giannis who can’t shoot. Quckly and Poeltl are the weakest link. You need to go to Miami and make a trade for Ware and Hero.
