Willie doesn’t believe in Zion which is evident when Willie subs Zion out 1st five or six minutes into the game. Willie literally insures his team will go behind by taking out the best player while the other teams best player is still in the game…
Borrego is the lesser of the 2 evils. If they don't respect Willie, they definitely dont respect Borrego. But its a start.

You are OBVIOUSLY CORRECT on Benson and Green! But, from 1:55 to 2:15 you are flat wrong ! The pickups besides Fears were all costly! Either in CAP flexibility or draft capital. As much as I hated CJ’s cap killing presence I was relieved that we would be through with paying for short shooting guards who can’t defend ANY position. Then we get CJ 1.1, Poole! Some time the best thing to do is nothing! If you couldn’t turn CJ and Olynik and contracts and maybe a #2 into Myles Turner ( perfect center for Zion), Yabusele and Lonzo , we should have stayed patted. Worse scenario we would be going into 2026 with our #1 pick and an extra $45m cap space!
Should have kept Cash as GM and Borrego for remainder of last season and give them 2 year contracts. If it didn’t work you only have 1 year cheap buyout.
The Pelicans coaching job is not desirable. Dumars is OBVIOUSLY bad at asset valuation. We don’t have cap flexibility nor draft capital this season or next.
Remember last year when James B. Coached the team one game bc Green was out one night. We scored 150 or close to it that night. The team balled out!
Mark Jackson or Malone, being no nonsense coaches.
