I was high on Poole before the season started. Im already open to trading him. He chucks too many shots and is a liability on defense. I agree we should do a package for Poole and Zion. Im pretty sure we can get a decent player or two. Maybe a flyer on Jalen Green with Zion. Maybe Nic Claxton or some picks for Poole. Im ready to start the new era.
I think you are way off, Poole has been the one keeping them in games. Poole is not your defensive guy you have people like Herb who got his bag because of his defense. They brought Jordan in to shoot. The Pelicans have been and are still weak at the 5 with rebounding and the inability to stop anybody from getting inside. I can say that Poole’s defense isn’t great but he has been holding his on. The fact is Willie has been hot garbage with the rotations. Pulling his staters out and sitting them until they get cold, not allowing them to get any consistency or continuity. Pulling Karlo out and sitting him down when he is playing well. Sitting Poole and Trey out and Letting Hawkins and Herb shoot 3s. The defense is garbage with or without Poole. They didn’t win those games convincingly, it was with hope and a prayer. But you want to say it’s Poole. The only reason they won those games is because the other team’s players were injured with their best players out. And the only reason that article resonated with you is because of your personal feelings towards Poole, because anyone watching the past games before Jordan and Zion went out could see that they were the best players on the floor. I don’t take anything from the rookies but the Pelicans are bad and it’s not the players, it’s the coach.
If we beat the Spurs, (a miracle), anything can happen. Might as well think positive.

How was Willie Green depending on Jordan Poole too much when he was benched after the 3rd game. He was the 2nd leading scorer who was benched after the 3rd game.
That Clippers game where he scored 30 points not only did he not start the game, he didn't close the game either.
The Pelicans beat 2 teams who are worse than they are and now you're saying they don't need their stars when the coach puts them in and then takes them out when they get going.
Now that they're going to go up against better teams lets see how much winning they do now.
What I am concerned about is your ridiculous take. Willie Greens rotations and the fact that he puts Poole and Zion in, sees them start to into rhythm only to pull them out so they get cold. His coaching is terrible!

Take the game where he had 15 at the half only to sit for the next quarter.

I aint like poole like that after that first Melbourne game. He shouldn’t play point nomore. He should be the backup shooting guard n take hawkins minutes.
First off this whole injury bug has been going on longer than Jordan Poole has been on this team!
Secondly, How has Green been depending on Poole too much? He benched him after the 3rd game! Man, how do you depend on somebody who is coming off the bench? Make it make sense.
I've seen too many games where Poole gets into rhythm only to be pulled out and sat for extended periods of time.
As for 3 point shooting that is what teams want them to do. You already don't have a lot of shooters on the team and Zion needs to play with people who can space the floor.
No disrespect sir but find me a player in recent history who said they were successful in New Orleans. Dejounte Murray went to the press after one season! You can't find one and that's the real problem.

i think this could be a blessing for the bench players to get more playing time to show them what they can do. addition by subtraction.
Saddiq Bay alone makes the CJ trade worth it. Poole will be fine off the bench at 10-15min a game but he needs to work on his toughness.
Edit: The disrespect of Jose from the fanbase needs to be studied SHEESH! He has been the best player on the team since his 2nd year. He almost always leads the team in +/- and is the only floor general on the team.
JOSE and Saddiq are the only 2 reliable players. Queen is going to be good but 15min a game is good for him for now until he gets more comfortable. No idea how Peavy give you enough confindence to trust him but i would like to see more minutes
Poole is traded because he is NOT a consistent player, Pelicans ONLY have players that score 25 one game and 8 the next 3 or 4 games. Zion ONLY consistent awesome player and why he gets hurt all the time because he hates losing and is known for being the only great player on the Pelican# so other teams plan all their fort to shut him down because they know he rest of the team are nobodies
It took how many years for Pels to get rid of C J and B I because they are not strong players. Get some strong players or let Zion go. And if you don’t know who are strong players admit it and get someone to help you get them and put the money behind it or blow up the team. Too many excuses now of poor us we always get injured.

In my very humble opinion, I'd like to see our team built around Fears and Queen. Great podcast, Melz. Send No D'Poole out of the bldg and eat some contract if we have to.
It’s Willie Green fault he starting Fears before Alverado and Poole who we traded our starting Point Guard for. I’m sure Jordan Poole feels like they wasting his time. Developing from possibly the third splash brother to being the lead scorer on his own team. Now he off the bench when Dejonte doesn’t want to point guard for us and Fear is not ready.
All these injuries. I wonder if they are legitimate.
