Grimes is averaging 18/3/5 in 8 games;
Martin is averaging 1/1/0 in 8 games, on more money;
the MAVS threw in a pick to make this trade happen.
This trade should be the worst traded in franchise history, but somehow it's only the 2nd worse.
I have to make a change for my mental health. I'm done watching games. I'm going to be a temporary Lakers fan and watch Luka. I will follow my favorite Mavs media like DLLS and Coop highlights. Once Nico is gone, we'll see where I'm at. Been a fan since 2000, but fans have to do what's best for us because this regime does not respect us.

This is stupid discussion but wtf do you expect him or anyone to do? After Kyrie went down the entire season was screwed. Kyrie didn’t go down BEFORE the trade. They already spent all the money on AD, Kyrie, Klay, PJ and Gafford. The only thing they could have done was trade Gafford and or PJ for a good guard who would become expendable once Kyrie back.

Nico is going nowhere because he knows the League and the Lakers purchase Luka from the Mavs Ownership for a ton of money + Flag because they could sell the Lakers for the Max they could get rising the price of all the NBA Teams.
The problem is that the Mavs gave over total control of the Rig Trade to the Lakers. Where the Lakers only gave up 1 First and a Star in A.D. for a 10 Years Younger Super Star in Luka.
Instead, the Mavs should've gotten A.D,, Reeves, 3 to 4 First Round Picks, and Flag from the Lakers + NBA League. Then Nico would still be hated, but not like this.
One thing that people don't talk about is that they could have got Austin Reeves in the trade…😮😮😮😮😮😅😅😅😅..they got streetclothes AD😮😮😅😅😅😅..I do like Max though..he actually is not hurt 90% of the time..
Ok fire Nico, agree, but what difference does it make? The damage has been done. Luka is a 1 of 1 type player, he can never be replaced. So yes, fire Nico, but the Mavericks will need YEARS and YEARS to recover, if ever. The damage done is nuclear, the city has been reduced to ashes.
Somebody wrote in another podcast that Nico thought the mavs went to the finals because they were the mavs, not becauee of Luka..
Another one wrote…it seems the extra weight Luka was carrying were the Mavs.

Essentially Nico turned the lakers into the Mavs (young superstar paired with an aging superstar title contenders) and the Mavs into the lakers (two aging stars that are often injured and won’t make past the first round)

1) To this point of the season AD and Luka have played the exact amount of games (5)
2) AD is dealing with the same injury that Luka dealt with last year
3) Kyrie and AD have played 1 half together….so nico has seen the team he had in mind 1 half…..and it was a really really good half
4) AD, Lively, and Gafford have played 5 games together (3-2) and 0 games together with Flagg and PJ
5) People have already made their minds up about this trade and Nico so anything that goes with that narrative, they amplify and anything that goes against that narrative, they disregard
The fact that Nico was so frustrated that Luka wasn't Kobe and then made the horrible deal with THE ONE GUY WHO KNEW KOBE BEST says a lot. if Nico couldn't motivate Luka, Nico should have resigned, but his own ego is too big and Mavs fans suffer for it. I've never seen a trade that generated sympathy for the fans of another team. That's how bad this was.
If the Lakers were 7-2 and we were 6-3 or 5-4 I wouldn’t do it. If we are 2-7 and the Lakers were 5-4 or under 500 I would wait and give Nico more time.
The Mavs struggling bad and the Lakers (who i still think don’t have a good roster outside of Luka) playing great is cause now to get rid of Nico. Id let Michael Finley or Matt Riccardi finish the year out.
