The Toronto Raptors are doing the UNTHINKABLE

The Toronto Raptors have been a very surprising story in the eastern conference. Not only are they #1 in Group A for the NBA cup with a group-leading point-differential and record with their two toughest opponents out of the way, they’re also 4-1 against the east (without having played a single bottom dweller yet) which is the best mark among the 15 teams so far.

With each win, they’re making a top 6 finish more probable. What’s most impressive is how they’re winning. They win pretty (opening night), ugly (last night), and among their 4 losses, two were due in large part to self-inflicted wounds down the stretch.

If we average for ONLY the players who play (exclude Martin, Hepburn, Temple, Lawson) the Raptors are on average 24.46 years old. 318 divided by 13 per basketball reference. The Nets 16 players who’ve played average an age of 23.44. The Thunder are 24.92. The Bulls are 25.58. The Knicks are 26.8. The Warriors are 29.0. Clippers are 29.93.

That’s ridiculous.
