I don't think this 3pt shooting is sustainable. Divo is shooting 42.3% from three. Ant is shooting 50%(!). Randle is shooting 42.6%(!). Jaden is shooting 52.9%(!!). Even Conley is shooting 48.0% from three on low volume. All of our regular rotation guys (minus Naz) are shooting way above career average from three, and that's what's carrying our otherwise middling offense.
It's also important to remember that the Wolves haven't played truly elite defenses so far this season and especially not a team that defends the rim particularly well. The drive-and-kicks and ball swings around the 3pt line will be much harder if it was against OKC or Detroit for example. I guess we'll get the answers to these misgivings as the season goes on.
I wonder if starting Clark at the off guard position would help the team. This move could boost the team’s defense by letting Clark handle the other team’s primary ball handler which allows McDaniels to stay aggressive on offense so he could keep his hot streak going. This move also could help boost the bench because Conley running a second team full of score/shoot first players like Donte/Shannon/Reid could focus on what they do best instead of overthinking.
Personally I wish they'd get rid of the three or remove the baseline three and push it out another 2 feet atop the key. Watching teams launch 40-50 threes is NOT exciting at all. Bring back the midrange and post play.
Three point shooting is the absolute least sustainable way to winning. Gritty defense for 48 minutes. Putting bodies on people for rebounds. Minimizing turnovers. Contest every shot. Taking a good shot and missing is better than hoisting bad shots that go in. Because in June, good shots have a better chance to go in than bad shots.
Three point shooting is fleeting. What can you fall back on when, not if, these shots don't fall? October habits yield W's in the Playoffs.

If you can, please hype this video. Howls and Growls is so good and it doesn’t cost you any money.

I'd like to see better passing in these situations, but the off-ball movement is encouraging.
They have to work harder at defending ENTIRE game. Not just at times. Allowing too many open looks.
Great wolves content, still weird now knowing what you look like from the WWW pod. 😅
