Everything WRONG With the Dallas Mavericks

Everything WRONG With the Dallas Mavericks

The Panel discusses the Mavericks’ recent struggles, noting that Klay Thompson looks washed while Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis continue to battle injuries, leaving the team without a clear offensive leader. They question whether Dallas can still contend and suggest it may be time to break up the current roster. Some argue the Mavericks should focus on developing Cooper as the franchise’s future and look beyond the current three-year window. The discussion also touches on a possible blockbuster trade between the 76ers and Mavericks involving Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid.

  1. It’s hurts so many people that Nico wasn’t right yall knew Dlo was trash klay was washed cooper Flagg overrated pj Washington mid and AD fragile

  2. It all boils down to them needing a competent pg. A playmaker, an offensive engine to actually elevate the players around him like klay and such. That's why the trade was dumb and baffling because they had one of the BEST IN THE LEAGUE.

  3. If you were a Mavs fan, we all KNEW this was coming. Everybody who tried to insinuate Dallas won the trade urked us to no end

  4. They got a first round pick for Luka, probably could get 3 for Davis…. He was first team all NBA worthy last year. Ax Christie is a great 22yo 2 way player that's worth at least 1 pick now, maybe 2 protected.

    Trade was fine

  5. Philly would never make that trade for Anthony Davis BTW… Morey still believes in Joel and Joel is getting into shape. 30pts in 26 minutes just yesterday

  6. Yall delusional. As a long time Mavs fan we’re cooked. We aren’t making the playoffs or in

  7. I don’t wanna hear the excuse of “Dallas didn’t expect these injuries” when the players injured are Kyrie and AD. Like you shoulda booked it that they would be hurt at some point

  8. It's still really early. The Mavs still have a good team when healthy. They're definitely worse without Luka, but it's hard to win with no stars in a star driven league.

  9. So now somebody gotta call Jordan on his bad takes he said the mavs would be great not good and the lakers would be horrible jus be talkin 😂

  10. I was warning people the Mavs weren't going to be good, only the most delusional Mavs fans didn't see this coming from a mile away. The roster makes no sense. They went 1-3 and lost to the Wizards before AD got his first extended absence of the season. They have the worst offense in the league by a comfortable margin

  11. They should tear everything down immediately. Even with everybody heakthy they are a second round exit at best. This tean isn't going anywhere

  12. This take is completely ridiculous. Did you even watch the game against Washington? They looked terrible.

The real question is: Were these guys just looking better in past seasons because of what Luka does? And honestly, it seems like the answer is yes. Without Luka, this team isn’t doing anything—no chance.

And to the panelist who said, “I thought they’d be better without the injuries” — come on, man. You traded for a player (AD) who’s notoriously soft and constantly injured, and now you’re surprised that a 30+ year-old with a long injury history is hurt again? Give me a break. Nico messed around and found out, plain and simple.

And now we’re supposed to believe that Kyrie Irving — a 32-year-old coming off an ACL injury — is going to come back, dominate, and make everyone better? Please. That’s pure delusion.

The Mavs are cooked. The second they got lucky with the first overall pick in Cooper, they should’ve blown it up, traded the vets, and gone all-in on a rebuild.

  13. I blame the front office They gave Klay 50 million after the entire world watch his decline with the warriors The gave Gafford 60 million when he’s has zero offensive game and never averaged 10 rebounds in his career even doe they got lively who’s better and younger and still on his rookie deal They gave Kyrie 113 million even with his injury history and his lack of success besides the years with Lebron They gave PJ Washington 90 million when’s he’s a role player and would be on bench if the season started and everybody was healthy it’s gonna be hard to get off those awful contracts and the biggest problem is their bets player AD is injury prone and isnt a number #1 option on a championship or winning team

  14. Wish washy takes
"I was big on a healthy Dallas before the season started. Now that I've seen an unhealthy Dallas team I think they suck" 😂 what? That's the definition of recency bias. C'mon panel. Y'all are better than that. Either day you were wrong or stand on business
