Jalen Green SHINES In Suns Debut SPOILING Bradley Beals “Homecoming”, Are Expectations Changing?

Jalen Green’s Phoenix Suns debut delivered exactly what the team desperately needed, and Bradley Beal got absolutely roasted in his return to the Valley. The Suns demolished the LA Clippers 115-102 behind Green’s efficient shooting and suffocating defense that’s now produced 20-plus point leads in three of their last four games.

This breakdown examines how Green solves the Suns’ offensive depth crisis when Devin Booker rests, why the team’s defensive identity makes comebacks nearly impossible, and what Green’s gravitational pull means for the rotation. Plus, an analysis of why Suns fans unleashed relentless boos on Beal all night, his petty response that backfired spectacularly, and whether he’s the ultimate “good stats, bad team” player. The episode also covers Booker’s evolving role as an elite rim defender, rotation questions around Oso Ighodaro, and why this 4-1 home record might signal something special brewing in Phoenix.

Tune in for unfiltered reactions from inside the arena and what this dominant win reveals about the Suns’ championship potential.

  1. I'm glad Green showed up, and had a good game. Y'all were being mad disrespectful, when Hou. traded him.

  2. I parlayed literally all the unders that were available for Bradley Beal as a joke and it was the only bet that hit for me tonightšŸ˜‚

  3. Great show Ben…. It feels good to have a team that plays so hard! Even when they’ve lost, I never get mad at the effort.

It’s fun to watch you be excited to share your opinion! I think it’s going to be a fun season!

  4. I think Bud was the biggest reason Beal didn't work out. Other than his sore pinky toe illness, I liked Beal. I thought he had a good attitude and he hustled. Bud really sabotaged the big 3. I don't like fans being rude to Beal.

  5. I am just happy the Suns didn't play down to their competition. I hope Green can stay consistent. Him and Book should each be scoring 30 a night.

  6. Told you, Jalen thrives better when he has another scoring guard on the team. Back in high school, they only lost one game, he averaged 31 points while playing alongside another SG/PG who played like Booker (Burnett, too bad he got injured in college and never made it to the NBA).

  7. The hustle and energy the Suns have right now is phenomenal. If Bookie or Green have an off night we still have Brooks. He can toss up 30 too. Booker smiling again. Brooks and Green were wonderful additions. I've haven't smiled like this in a long time myself.

  8. With Beal – I don’t think the ā€œhateā€ from suns fans was outspoken until this game. For me I was pretty done with Beal early on on the team but I just contributed my negative feelings towards him to the overall bad vibes of the team last year and the contract, nothing personal.
My opinion changed after that first suns – clippers game this season where he was yelling ā€œhell nawā€ at every Dunn/oso attempt while only putting up 6 points himself from the clippers bench. I think after that moment most suns fans completely, vocally, turned on him

  9. Before the trade was confirmed, you guys said a lot shitty things about green and was talking about a third team trade where green would be shipped to.

  10. Jalen is great. I am a Rockets fan and I watched every game he played for us. What yall saw this 1st game is to be expected. Flashes of brilliance. When he’s on, there’s no one better. But he balances it out by having just as many terrible games. You’ll see. Enjoy the honeymoon. Reality bites. Give him half a season and you’ll be complaining about him like we did.

  11. Finally a Suns team we can root for again. Consistent effort is one helluva deodorant and can make up for a lot of other shortcomings whether it be size issues, turnovers or even limited shot creation ability (at least when compared to the better teams in this West). But regularly playing hard will keep us in so many games, even against more fancied opponents. There just seems to be no quit in this iteration of the Suns which plagued the past 2 seasons.

They are actually one of the more fun teams in the NBA right now along with the Bulls who also play with a lot of hustle, heart and tenacity.

  12. I told y'all. Jalen is the most underrated young player in the league now due to poor offensive coaching in Houston. He didn't seem to have his usual speed btw, I've never seen him run so slow in 4 years. Wait till the rust comes off and he's getting 8+ FTA. That jumper won't fall that often, but Ott seems focused on getting him to the rim more often.

  13. I remember you completely hating on Jalen Green. You have no basketball IQ. You’ve been wrong about so many things. I know you’re type. You’re going to invest so much energy into waiting for the next bad Jalen Green game. He’s 23. And in an aging league, he will prove how stupid so many of your bad takes are. Even as a Sun. Stay on that side.

  14. See. Instead of admitting you were wrong. First thing you said is you saw some of his flaws. And you focused on the ā€˜5%’. That’s you trying to save face. You aren’t as smart as you think lmao. Bad habits. Just trying to save your idiotic take.

  15. one thing I always thought we needed is a guy who really takes step-back threes. Most of our squad is spot up or pull-up shooters and even Book doesn't lean on the step back that much. Jalen can fill that void as long as he can be efficient about it.

  16. Yeah, not to rain on y’all’s parade, but this is who Jalen Green is. He flashes one day and reverts back to being an ineffective player the next. I realize you guys have had virtually nothing to root for the last few years, but I am implore you to not get too ahead of yourself.

Jalen Green is not a very good player. He supplies little in the area of assists and rebounds. If he isn’t hitting his shots, he is a minus player.

Not to mention, this was against a Clippers team without their two best players. He would not have done this against Kawhi Leonard.

Anyway, hopefully this is a good sign for Jalen, but every Rocket fan knows exactly what he is. Don’t be shocked at all if his next game he goes 5-18. That’s who he is. All over the place with no consistency.

Good guy. I like Jalen and want to see him thrive. I have seen Suns fans talk about how they won the trade lol. C’mon, it’s been ONE game. This isn’t the first time Jalen has ever scored 29 in a game. I wouldn’t be surprised at all in a matter of weeks Suns fans are complaining how inefficient he is.

  17. 4 years in a rockets jersey you don’t want green but one game in a suns jersey and he is Mj gtfoh šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

  18. Skeptical, you were ready to end the franchise the look on your face that night made me become a a follower of Locked on suns so I can’t wait to see the ups and downs You go through this season with green but honestly, I wish him nothing but the best he was a good guy some people like you might hold that as a strike against him lol

  19. Houston fans forget that JG was they’re LEADING SCORER he was a key reason why they got as far as they did and two he hasn’t had anybody on the rockets team that’s close to the skill level of Devin he’s the number two option here we don’t need him having 30 every night he’s literally the second option vs to Houston he was the first option he’ll have more space to work on this team because that’s the perks of playing with a guy like booker..they should be more concerned about KD staying healthy cause once he gets injured and start to miss days possibly a month you’ll see exactly why we’re not upset about the trade so enjoy kd while he’s on the floor ..

  20. You still have to watch your expectations on green. He’s inconsistent. But he definitely has more good days than bad days. The thing is he goes on bad streaks and in my opinion it’s mostly mental which if he can one day fix he will be an all star starter.

  21. Won’t lie I have disagreed with many of your takes, but you were right about Nigel and you seem to be right about the clippers falling out of the top tier in the west. Only thing you were wrong about has been Jalen. Ben I hate to say it, but unfortunately you are a ball knower
