Luka DonChick is not a megastar or a Superstar, I give him a Star, he doesn’t play defense, DonChick is a gimmicky offensive player at best, take out the flopping referee whistle, he loses like 10 PPG, if you have to rely on referee whistles to average your points, you’re not that guy, same goes for SGA except that he actually plays defense, not elite DPOY like Giannis does but he’s better than Lukewarm DonChick! Giannis is the best player in the world by far!

They just make up a new category and we are supposed to just validate and roll with it instead of asking the obvious, what is a megastar and why do we need another category above superstar? What even is that? Superstar is not enough? It already means 'beyond a star.' How bout we not water down and inflate 'superstar'? Even an NBA 'star' is above the level of just NBA starter and NBA reserve or role player. So we already have at least 4 categories.
Giannis is a certified superstar. Current NBA superstars: Shai, Joker, Luka, Bron, KD, Steph, Giannis. Franchise players known around the league and overseas. No one is ever going to eclipse MJ in that category but now we are talking about the GOAT or at least, if folks can't agree on that, limit it to a handful of players that were superstars and in the GOAT conversation. I doubt folks will talk about Giannis in that conversation because they will discredit him on rings and shooting, but if they factored in his defense and his offense (as well as his mentality and tenacity), he certainly could be. This is really the first year I would say this is Giannis's team. He is setting the tone and leading the charge. It is the closest I have seen to the Jordan mentality in the modern game. He is a certified NBA superstar and the only reason anyone is even questioning this is because he has stayed loyal to the small market franchise that brought him in and gave him a chance betting on what he would become…which has exceeded all expectations due to both physical and mental development.
