Steve Kerr Says Warriors Are Built for a Top-4 Seed

Steve Kerr Says Warriors Are Built for a Top-4 Seed

Steve Kerr joins Willard and Dibs for his weekly appearance and delivers a crucial message to the Warriors: if they don’t fix their turnovers, they’re in trouble. Kerr breaks down the team’s brutal early-season schedule (15 games in 26 days across 10 cities), explains why he told the team before the season “let’s finish top-4” in the West, and reveals what made the Warriors go 23-7 down the stretch last year after Jimmy Butler arrived. He discusses Will Richard’s impressive 30-point performance and why the 57th pick is a “stabilizer” the team desperately needs, addresses concerns about Al Horford (zero concern), praises Moses Moody’s defensive growth, and explains why Jonathan Kuminga needs to improve his decision-making. Kerr also drops a key insight: “Adapt or die—the league has changed” and teams can’t turn it over 18 times anymore and expect to win. This is essential listening for Warriors fans trying to understand where this season is headed.

  1. 要柯瑞健康才有活路,吉米不搭,可惜他不是任何人士的替身,下滑快速沒法幫到勇士,也老男人,柯瑞會特別的累😂

  2. He does nothing but lie as to not insult the team. Year after year same since he became coach and why hasn't it been fixed it is the style of play! This team at best will fight for a play in, unless they reramped the roster and get bigger.

  3. kerr only has to pound his own brain from stupid lineups and rotations. this has to be the worst nba coach in history. just got rings bcus of curry otherwise he would have 0 coaching rings.

  4. Moses needs to be in starting lineup to help with defense and to space the floor. Currently floor seems crowded

  5. Guys….stop with the schedules. The Warriors have lost 3 games that they should have won. In each game lost, the starters have given the coach a double digit lead. Each loss according to Coach Kerr is a result of turnovers.

Blaming a team because of turnovers is like criticizing Kelsce and Patrick Mahomes for not completing passes when the defense has time to prepare. The greatest weakness of Steve Kerr, as a coach, is he can’t seem to understand how to make game time decisions and timely substitutions. This alone causes confusion and creates turnovers. The second greatest weakness of coach Kerr is making game time adjustments. Because of the early leads that the Warriors have had in each of the losses, the opposing coaches are forced to make game time adjustments. It is at this point in the game that Coach Kerr becomes confused and the games translate into a losses. It is a clear pattern. In fact, it was the Bucks who used this ultimate tactic against the Warriors when they did not notify the Warriors that Giannis was not going to play. Coach Kerr could not come up with a proper adjustment, creating the first ugly loss to a team that the Warriors are better than.

The Warrior’s contract structure serves to control the weaknesses of Coach Kerr to an extent, but it could not eliminate his toys (Podz, CP2, and Buddy), with a roster having over 8 guards. Coach Kerr can’t resist going back to pre – Jimmy Butler. The result is 3 consecutive losses. The first was with the Big 3. The second included the Big 3 diluted, and was called out by Jimmy as “confusing”. The third loss showed the brilliance of Mike D. and the management team with JK, Moody, Quinten Post, Will Richard, and TJD all having excellent games with the same results – a loss. Worse, a coach who repeats turnovers as the problem while not knowing that he is the exact reason for turnovers trying to find combinations through his heart, or forcing real talent to play out of position.

In all of the Warrior’s losses this season, and going back a few years, shows this is when coach Kerr start “trying to find combinations” that will work.

  6. It’s all on Kerr. Right players but wrong coaching. Once he starts his playing with small tiny small ball, the opposing team always make a run or a comeback. His obsession with small tiny 3-4 guards is not working and obsolete. No D and rebounding.

  7. Im curious why isn't buddy just a catch and shoot 3. Like if you dont have the shot pass it. Letting buddy dribble the ball is a turnover itself. Back to back games how tf you catch the ball then it slips out of bounds. He should never be the one bringing the ball up the court. The amount of confusion they have whos taking the ball out and whos bringing it up.

  8. This foolish coach blame everyone but himself . Stop with the 3 or 4 guard lineup and you will have less turnovers, simple as that . Kerr and his small balls is killing this team and will never learn. Time for a new coach that take accountability for the failures season after season.

  9. Is it even possible to have a softer softball interview than whatever that was? Execution is primary the issue!? No questions about small ball, whacky lineups, whacky coaching scheme, whacky substitutions? Really 95.7 The Game!?
