Nico got fired, rightly so because of Luka Doncic trade, the worst in nba history
Nico traded a generational 26 year old superstar for a 32 year old star with a long and well documented history of missing time. He called it a win now move, but they are not winning now and the core around him is only getting older.
This is not hindsight. Davis has carried real availability concerns for years. He was already dealing with issues at the time of the trade, he missed time at the end of the season with the Mavs, he had lingering problems in the offseason, and he was hurt again within the first few games this year. The risk was obvious when the deal was made.
I don’t know if Nico is dumb or it’s the ownership, but it was a heinous move.

Drey your bugging on the Nico take. He trades Luka for his shape and conditioning, Ad comes to camp 20lb over weight and looks pretty big now. You said Ad has been healthy in LA. Since he got there in 2020 has played in these many game per season 62, 36, 40, 56, 76, 42. 6 seasons played over 60 games 2x WTH you mean he’s been healthy. 2nd Luka has proved to be able to take you to promise land he ran into a historic great Boston team where Kyrie choked and I love Kyrie. Then for Nico to say he didn’t know what Luka meant to the fan base, honestly Nico should have been fired for posing that thought.

DRAYMOND most every fan loves the scorers and superstars I am one of them for sure I got into ball because of KD, Kobe, Chris Paul, etc but you have been one of my favorite players for a long time now you play with passion and are the heart and soul of your team which is incredible to see. 56 games, 76 games, and 51 games. He was only healthy for 1 year during that span. Don't even get me started with the number of games he's played 2021 and below.. this guy is injury prone! FACTS, data shows it.

It's like in poker, when you already had pocket Aces (Luka) and you trade your pocket Aces for a pair of Queens (Davis) , if the Queens somehow get lucky and wins (the chip) , it doesn't matter, you still made the wrong move at that time trading away your Aces, because you already had the better hand!
