I think NIco was an implant from Lakers or NBA. This was a con job. Nothing about this whole thing smells or feels right.

Nico Harrison was a Nike employee. How in the hell you hire GM with no Basketball experience. Jalen Brunson not matching against New York. Luka not opening to other teams to see what can they get. It's looks like it will take years to fix this team. Future first out of the window. The money Klay and AD and Kyrie have on books. Nobody want Klay. AD on a bad contract. Kyrie next season going to be rough. Because he was to learn. Who to trust his body again. 7 to 10 years before back to playoffs.
How much did race play into Nico trading him? I think a lot
The Mavs are a problem for the league because not only did they give their picks away. They have a swap with OKC in 2028, then give their pick to Houston in 2029, then swap their pick in 2030 with the Spurs. So the three most dominant young west teams, have each a pick from the awful Mavs in the future. Which means those teams might get even better and make it difficult to the West to compete
Charlotte has the Mavs pick next year (top 2 protected), and they finally finally might have done a trade that actually gets them a top level talent for free. Finally the Hornets get some positive news (unless Dallas just gets good next year)

Nico hated Luka. You have to take a look at all the trade he made when Luka was there. Even ask Luka.

I think a lot will happen in the next 90 days. Virtually Every player is available. Can’t start over unless you get your picks and swaps back so it’s more likely they push forward after the 2026 draft (the pick they own) and try to compete for the playoffs thru 2030.
Maybe they keep Kyrie and even AD OUT indefinitely and go with the kids to both tank and get them ready for the 2026-27 season (That’s Flagg, Brandon Williams, Lively, Christie, Nembhard and
The new Center Cisse).
All those guys plus the player we acquire in the draft will combine with what we hope will be a healthy Davis and Kyrie to form a good but not great

Cockroaches live in the shadows. Nico doing this Luka trade secretly so not even Mark Cuban who still owns 30% of the team knew, and giving away Luka at pennies on the dollar… Then refuse to do press and hiding in the tunnel at games.
Like Cuban said…even if you wanted to trade Luka which was the dumbest in sports history in itself…at least get more for him.
