Mailbag: Jason big fan of the show, just wanted to get your thoughts on if this lakers team can prove anything to you in the regular season without a trade. I see them as last yeah high regular season but getting bounced in the first round because of the lack of perimeter defensive athletes that can contribute on the offensive end.
We need a full independent investigation into the TRADE and the Mavericks getting the number one pick. We know that Adam Silver and the nba are dirty.

Explain to me how turning a team with Luka, Jalen Brunson and Porzingis into a team that 1) is terrible currently 2) has no tradable assets 3) has ABSOLUTELY NO FUTURE PICKS is a decent job. I can also build a decent (DECENT) roster by trading away everything that isn't bolted down. Don't you think there was a reason why well ran teams like Thunder and Spurs were willing to trade current picks for future swaps with the Mavs?
They knew this generational idiot was going to run the franchise into the ground as soon as Luka wouldn't be carrying him anymore, and guess what happened.

Hi Jason, given Detroit's strong start to the season everyone seems to be automatically running mock Lauri to Detroit trades. I love Lauri's theoretical fit alongside Cade, however he doesn't solve the secondary playmaking/initiation issues assuming Ivey is part of the deal. Instead, I'm more interested in someone like MPJ. It wouldn't cost nearly as much to get him compared to Lauri, he adds more size to our wing rotation & his role would essentially be the Malik Beasley "irrational confidence jack up shots" at a 6"10 frame. In this scenario, Cade doesn't have a clear co-star but between MJP/Duren/Ivey, we'd have 3 guys who could drop 20 on any given night & you'd trust Cade to keep everyone fed. How do you envision this theoretical Cade/Ivey/MPJ/Ausar/Duren lineup working & would you enquire about MPJ (deal likely would be Tobias/Duncan/Sasser or Klintman + 2nd's)?
