I know it gonna lose to spurs
Sengun as an offensive hub is unstoppable but he really needs someone else to work in tandem as playmakers.
1. Reed is liability on defense and rebounding.When he hit some shots, yall think he good but no.
2. Idc if jabari plays bad, he still gotta be on the court in the clutch moments for defensive purposes and rebounding.
3. Alp gotta stop shooting 3s till he becomes good enough mid range shooter.
4. Amen gotta play offball. When Amen play on ball, that force Alp to shoot 3s, apart from 3s Alp was 9/16(efficient) on the floor.
Gonna be another tough game at Bucks with Giannis/Myles Turner/ Ryan Rollins.
You guys really nailed it. I'm actually frustrated with all the other rockets youtubers and redditors. They simply don't understand what not having a real PG is doing to them and seem to not care about the turnovers. Anyway, glad to hear what I'm seeing verified. I definitely think KD is not being used correctly. He can be a facilitator but not the way they're doing it. The lack of ball security is causing late shot clock rushes and forcing them into turnovers. I will say Amen literally just standing around not even moving on those defensive rebounds and absolutely getting punked was completely unacceptable. I don't know what he was thinking.
When was the last time KD played 3 bad games in a row? No one in the team is happy with their role, and no one feels comfortable.
Reed too small? How big is Fred?
The overlooked thing is drafting Reed at # 3 was kinda risky…. That’s a really high draft pick for his athletic profile IMO
The Rockets lost this game because of Udoka's stubbornness, his inability to read the opponent and the game on the court, and his insistence on his wrong choices.
The Rockets miss FVV like hell. And if Udoka insists on Reed and Tari (just as he insisted on ignoring the fact that Green and Whitmore were doing more harm than good to the team last year), he won't win a championship this year either!
Spurs played exceptionally well yesterday, and the Rockets played decent. I think we should give the Spurs about 25 games to see what type of team they will be. The game yesterday is an indicator of how exceptionally well teams must play to beat the Rockets. In a 7 game series I think Rockets consistency will beat out any opponent.
Guys, Ive said it before, KD can score in his sleep but he doesn't play defense, pass, nor rebound

Too many turnovers I feel is why we lost
I could never be cool with a weasel punk poser on the left that exposed Jalen Greens dm's. Smh
Alpi didn’t show up until the 4th, thanks to the dumb fouls he picked up early in the second half. But once he was back, he was the only one on the Rockets who really wanted to win. He played hard on both ends and almost made it happen. Reed gave the spark in the 3rd and early 4th, but especially in crunch time he cost the Rockets the game. Adams and Jabari were non-factors.
Udoka was once again stubborn with his lineups — he should’ve gone back to the starting five to close it out.
I was really impressed with Reed. My favorite play was when he turned down KD and pulled up for 3. That was confidence. About his defense he would grow, he’s just 21. He’s making efforts. Let’s Remember JG & Alpi were like that in their first few years in nba and they were bad and it was in a losing era. Reed is playing in a win now era where every play is gonna be scrutinized. My concern for this team is they don’t shoot enough 3s. They should be averaging at least 37 3s every night. Especially when they are the best rebounding team and grab back some of their misses. It’s frustrating. Last night the spurs shot 45 3s while the Rockets only shot 27. It’s ridiculous.
That’s why I would love an elite shooter like Malik Beasley in this team
the only good pary of this game was not even wemby cannot def sengun one on one… Sengun cannot be stoped without double teams. He only needs to shoot downtown a bit better and all good!
KD had turnover issues with the Suns as well. Not a good passer and is a beat late making passes.
Houston will defeat most if not all bad teams. But the IQ of the players isn't there. Looking back, the Udoka-led Celtics also had poor offensive basketball IQ…

That was my problem with trading for KD why give up on Jalen Green if the team not ready to win. We only got a 2-3 year window with KD. I’m not overreacting but you see a trade like that definitely made our championship window smaller.

Why do people exaggerate over 1 game, we was on a 5 game winning streak and loss 1 game. If you look at this game we made plenty of mistake turned the ball over got out rebound and left too many open threes how often will that happen and we was still in the game. I disagree we did not get punked we got out hustled. We play this team 3 more times and I’m sure we’ll tie it or win the next three games against them. Second quarter with under theee moñinutes left and allowing them to go on a 12-0 run is the game right there. Thats should not happen. I also felt no need for the zone so much in the second half. Wemby was killing us. Play man defense
Just couple of rebounds away and they never went to Adams.
It was a close game and we had a chance to win, but we did not deserve to win. Good to have these losses early in the season to learn from.
Great video guys as always. I know we would like to have a magic stick and make Reed a positive defender on the fly but I think we need to be patient because he's trending in the right direction and the PG is one of the toughest to develop. Do you guys still remember the non stop criticism of Sengun in his first couple of years? Nobody seems to talk about that anymore because he turned the corner. I expect the same thing with Sheppard in due time.
Spurs dont have a real PG either.
That's why this game was such an ugly mess.

Most people watching basketball in America do not know enough about basketball. Honestly, if you have no problem with how Reed played in that game or if you think he played well in that game, I have zero respect for you as someone who talks basketball on a podcast. You are just not good enough to talk basketball. Reed can play like this in Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets, etc. And I am not talking about his defense.
the loss was like 50% effort and execution on defence and rebounding and 50% on the turnovers. kd need to do better with the ball, teammates need to do better off ball, udoka need to do get kd the ball in spots that we can get better advantage of double teams. capela deserved some minutes on the second half
