Isn’t the fact that Jokic has probably played the most games than other players? Consistent. Reliable. Team leader. He’s a different breed. Tops no matter whether he gets more chips or not.

Adam. Nico is the future EASY Jeapoardy question. But Hood Schafino as the steak knives is the future HARD Jeopardy question.
Think there is a positive with Cam. He is in a dreadful shooting slump, as a result, he has focused on everything else, and is still contributing. So when his shot comes around, it will be a huge positive. It all results in a really well rounded contributor. Win-win.

Tim, you’re usually on point with the stats but for Jokic, the Nuggets are still in “panic mode” when he sits as their +- with him off is insane. Yes I know it speaks on his amazing talent but they still barely tread water when he’s off the court. Been a problem forever

Best roster the organization has ever had. Right HC for the roster and the NBA as it's played today in a more analytical and consistent fashion. So far the team looks very dangerous. A little concerned about Cam's fit so far, but he's a serious pro and I think it will click in at some point. Right now though.. to be honest… if you're Adelman… Timmy coming in at the SG and letting CB go berzerk at the SF sounds… very tempting… You could shift from a brutally strong lineup to a top speed lineup by just making two subs (bring in BB at the 3 and PWat at the 4 sliding AG to the Center) has just got to be a nightmare for an opposing coaching staff.

How can you not be the most valuable player when you're impact on your team (Team Leaders section of stats) looks like below and has for half a decade? The man leads the team in every category but blocks. To anyone arguing that another NBA player might average more points per game do you REALLY think if he wanted to Joker couldn't average say… 37 per game? Just blowing everyone else out? Who could stop him? He could still lead in assists and get it. If he was willing to shoot twice vs pass he could get 40. Average. So can we just stop and point out no matter who you compare him to he is, notably, better in at least two categories than the other person? Shai is a great basketball player. One of the best currently playing. He plays Point Guard. Joker is a better passer and he plays Center. Joker is a Center and he out rebounds Shai because Shai is a Point Guard. So who is more valuable the guy who is doing what nobody else can do for his team overall or the guy who scores a few more points a game? So, at some point, the idea the MVP award goes to someone else is just a farce. No shade on Shai or Joel. They are great players. Joker is just, by far, the most valuable to his team and his team's chances of success in and during the season. No other player even comes close in the difference in box plus/minus on offense and they play better on defense when he's in so he's a net positive there as well despite the critics who don't really understand the game fully saying otherwise. It isn't about 'protecting the rim' it is about controlling the glass and who has the better shooting percentage honestly. That's why Joker is Joker and Gobert has no ring despite 4 DPoY.

One thing that has stifled Cam a bit has been CB and AG coming alive from the perimeter. Last season (and before) ALL those plays were pretty much drawn up for either Jamall or MPJ. Now CB and AG are getting designed pick and pops with Joker, etc. and that is cutting into the wing's attempts. Add in two guys in Timmy and BB who can play that SF well and eating into those minutes and attempts as well. The wing might be by committee this season and as long as the egos stay in check with those three guys that might actually work out. Cam starts with the size, defense, and solid unselfish play making the most of his handful of touches then BB and Timmy start the 1-2 punch of inside/outside energy and stamp 20 pts on the board. OKC did something similar to Denver in the playoffs by platooning guards to double-team Joker continually with either Dort or Captain Caruso anchoring down. Kinda worked for a bit, but mostly because Denver had AG and MPJ both visibly injured and hampered. We'll see. Cam might lose his starting spot to Timmy and slide CB to the SF. That could work well too.

Guys, the Nuggets have only scored under 122pts twice and they lost one of those. SO many Nuggets are scoring it will come around to Cam. Also, they are winning with him in the starting lineup. Coaches are NOT fans of changing winning lineups unless there is a very specific tactical matchup with the upcoming team that makes a different lineup likely heavily productive. Like I'm betting the Phoenix Suns get squashed by a massive Denver lineup for most of the game. Lots of Big Val and PWat smashing you in the mouth off the bench with AG and Joker just plowing them under when they're in.
Crazy stat I ran across the other day. Before last night's game Jokic had generated 260 points through his assists which works out to 29 ppg! Even crazier is he's generated 2.45 points per assist. Almost 2 1/2 points per assist! Obviously that's possible because he's assisted on a lot of 3's but it's one of the most insane numbers I've ever heard. When you add in his scoring he's generating 55 points of offense per game which is 44% of the Nuggets total. By comparison SGA is generating 46 ppg through scoring and assists, Giannis 47, and Luka 56. More evidence Joker is one of the greatest offensive engines ever. Luka's in the category too.
I’ve only ever used espn for box scores.. but switched to the score a few weeks ago because of ESPNs tinkering
We will NEVER forget this trade of Luka. The history of the Mavs will always talk about it. Nico had to go, he deserved to get fired on the spot for considering it. I can’t stand the Nico apologists.
Great as Duncan was — and I put him in the all-time top 10 — it was David Robinson who completely turned the Spurs franchise around. Robinson was injured the year before Duncan joined the team, resulting in a horrible record in '96-'97 and another dramatic turnaround.
Thats why I believe a large entity had to be behind the Luka trade. There is no way a GM that has the ambition to work his way to a have level position at Nike and a GM position in the NBA at such a young age doesn't think about the consequences a decision has on his career. That decision results in career suicide like 99.9% if the time when they don't have a miracle run to a chip. They were in the NBA finals the previous season. You are never gonna convince me that Nico just made that trade bc "defense wins Championships." Especially after we see all the Clippers Aspiration shit I think something else is going on here. My guess is Nike wanted him in LA. We'll see if in a year Nico has some crazy high ranking Nike position. OR maybe he gets a high ranking Lakers position but I doubt that with the bitterness from Luka. My money is on Nike.

I'm really surprised ya'll can't see why they got rid of him. The fan base is gone, he knew he was on the hit seat. He couldn't be allowed to make a win now move out of desperation and completely leverage the remaining assets.

Thankfully Timmy has adjusted quickly off the bench !! I believe Cam will also get there "" maybe Coach Adelman should switch temporarily bring.
