The Memphis Grizzlies have a huge problem: their stars Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr don’t like head coach’s Tuomas Iisalo methods. The European tactician is known for his unique substitution patterns, but that is heavily affecting Morant’s performance. In this video, we analyze the situation in-detail and how a European coaching style is not fitting Ja Morant.

  1. Poor Ja getting paid millions to play basketball has lost his joy. Bro's been pampered and babied by Memphis but poor Ja he lost his joy

  2. I like Iisalo's style — I believe blistering pace and utilizing athleticism can make even an average roster competitive most nights — but even if I didn't, I cannot stand Ja Morant's approach towards being a professional athlete. He's a child, probably the apex of what raw talent (which he does not lack at ALL) and good play combined with a shitty attitude gets you — mediocrity. He'll likely never be the number one on a championship team, he'll be a superteam champion at best.

  3. Trade Ja: that's the only solution. He's selfish, uncoachable and problematic when things don't go his way. People like him (that's openly speaks out LockeRoom talkings and openly go after his coach) are USAYouth Basketball + Highlights Reels SubProduct: Newman's Archetype with more talent/Nba Ready Body. It is what it is. Every Player that thinks he bigger than his Team is Trade Material; no Team Material. He's not Lebron/MJ/Kobe/Magic/Duncan/Iverson/Shaq or anybody Else.

  4. Ja is in no position to criticize anybody. Dude stfu and play ball and show us why we should care. Morant was almost the next face of the league and since that moment he fucked up everything.

  5. First, plz get a job, and grind hard get to Department head. Maybe, you can see much clear about how this typical mistrust derived from a basic strategy communication gone side way. I believe the CEO of this org is undergoing sleepless talks between coach’s and players. Right now, all lays on the hand of CEO. The end result is simple, eight CEO is forming a new trade or he is quoting his favorite bed side story.

  6. I'm a Grizzlies fan. I'm all for anyone who's trying to win games for my team. Coach Iisalo is trying to install a system that he believes will do exactly that. Ja is jogging around, not paying attention and sulking like a little kid both on and off the court. If you're gonna play like shit with the minutes you have, why would the coach give you more?

Ja means the world to Memphis and Grizzlies fans but I'd rather see them trade him than fire the coach after his recent lack of effort and childish attitude. This is a terrible look for Ja and it's 100% on him. I like that the coach called him out for that bs. He should call him out for such a pathetic effort and Ja should feel embarrassed.

  7. Trade Ja. He is useless at this point. Get for gim couple of decent players, european playstyle should compensate the lack of superstar in the squad.

  8. No brain, no love of the game – no matter how talented you are it ends ugly. Watch him in 10 years…

  9. Let talking the real elephant in the room. That Ja doesn't agree with Euro invasion despite this coach being world renown for his offensive exploits & defense innovation. Jordan did this early with Phil Jackson Tex Winter Triangle offense. Also, show me guys not really bball guys like they claim.

  10. Why are you using the one game he sold as evidence. He was literally intentionally playing bad. Inexcusable, but still, he doesn't play like this

  11. What you're seeing is the effect of a player this popular on the smallest market team. Nobody knows, they just assume and regurgitate.

This isn't the reason Ja wasn't enjoying the game. They were on a losing streak and he just came off a suspension. He was literally all smiles the games before.

That's without getting into the minutes

  12. Heres the thing: Charles Barkley is 100% right in saying athletes are the luckiest people in the world.

Most of these guys have no skills to actually make it in the real world. Getting paid mollions to play a game is awesome. So the ladt thing anyone wants to hear is an athlete whining about not having the "joy" to play.

  13. Imagine if they would hv serbian coachπŸ’€πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚nba players would be cryingπŸ˜‚

  14. in new NBA contracts should be added 'Ja Morant' rule, if one refuses visibly to apply effort/energy he can be suspended by the team and 100% of his salary would be withheld. Letss say one gets suspended by the team for 41 games, his salary would be withheld by 50%.

  15. who would tought, that a spoiled brat from egotistical / individualistic culture woud clash with a european coach…

  17. funny thing is i might actually follow him for his take on how basketball shoulld be played cause i agree fast pace action is fun and leads to my favorite thing dunks

  18. this gen of players is very soft and selfish. They prefer to flex after a dunk than to get back for defence

  19. Tuomos iisalo is unproven. That euro shit doesn’t mean anything in the nba. Tell me the last euro team to win the Olympics?

  20. Finally someone is telling the truth about these weak and pampered stars. They’re like little kids trying to be cool and not listening to their mom. It’s way soft and its getting exposed for how selfish and non productive it is. If it isn’t about me, then I’m not happy

  21. Ja is princes who acts like he is a gangsta. Send him to Serbia for behaviour therapy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  22. Against OKC, memphis was doing fantastic in the first half, then in the second half Ja Morant missed like 10 clean midis and the team ended up losing
