You know that meme song 'doing miracles on me?' That's what Watford is doing and I think I finally understand why the DEF rating with him is so good, even though he himself ain't gonna stop anybody lol. The best defense is a good offense, and that's what Watford provides the 76ers. His connectivity as well as finishing is so potent offensively it allows them to set up their half-court D. Whereas if they don't make shots, they're freaking screwed in transition LOL.
When was the last time we got a Triple Double from a non "star" player on this team bc I sure as hell can't remember!!! A young, athletic "4"??? Wow I just hope he continues progressing!!!
When the sixers broke camp, a lot of the new guys I never knew or heard of. But after each game, there appears to be some players on this roster that could make a big difference for the Sixers. The one player I was keeping an eye on was D. Barlow til he got hurt. I’m also happy 😆 the team didn’t get rid of A. Drummond. I wanna see how P. George is going to fit in now. K. Oubre Jr is playing nicely and even bench players are getting better as they play. I’m completely shocked and had the Sixers going nowhere again. I even had the Sixers trading Maxey for whoever and trading Embiid just to get him a better chance of winning a championship before he retires.
Maxey is our best player, but I think Oubre is our most valuable player. Philly fans don’t appreciate what he has done for $8 million .The guy is underpaid, for what he does, he should be making $25 million. Tobias was paid $35 million and he’s making $25 million right now. Anunoby is making $25 million averaging 18 points, Kelly is close to 20 points.
I play fantasy basketball and like 2 years ago Watford was playing lights out for my fantasy team. He played for the Trailblazers. Fantasy community was calling him Swatford! I’m not surprised. I’d given the minutes he’ll produce.
I’m not crazy about Watford. I would like to see him clean up some things like his body language, hustle for loose balls, moving his feet on defense. As we saw last night, Watford as the offensive hub doesn’t work as well against a legit NBA center.

Yabusele is avg 10 min and 2 ppg for the Knicks. He had a good year last year but they were right to let him walk and get this guy.
