  1. I thought for sure you were going to get on Cade for starting slow and not having a good first half! I was going to respond by saying it is not realistic to expect any player to play well for 4 quarters thru 82 games. The pace and physicality of the game is one of the reasons for so many injuries. High usage players by necessity need to pace themselves and take a little time to process the flow of the game!

  2. I hear you on most of your points, but I’ve got to disagree about Robinson. He’s not just a guy who shoots after rebounds, he’s a legit catch-and-shoot threat. If he can knock shots down the way he did tonight on a regular basis, he could easily hit 300 threes this season with the Pistons.
As for Malik Beasley, it wasn’t that he suddenly became one of the best shooters in the league. It’s that the Pistons gave him the green light to be a volume shooter, and that opened up the floor for guys like Cade to grow into who they are now.
Ron was solid tonight. No need to be too hard on him—it’s only his second year, and he’s already our second-best on-ball defender. I just want to see him keep developing into a solid 3-and-D guy who can also get to the basket.
And honestly, we’re lucky you’re not coaching, because you don’t bench your star just to see how the team looks without him. We’re already missing Tobias, Stew, Marcus Sasser, and maybe even Thompson, who hurt his ankle in the first quarter. We’re 8-2 with a long season ahead—there’s no universe where Cade should be sitting.

  3. You got there on Duren, but not all the way. He shot 73%, but only took 11 shots. Give him the damn ball!

  4. I disagree on sitting ausar and cade tonight unless ausar ankle swelled up again or something. If the pistons had Tobias and stew in the lineup then ok give cade a rest .

  5. He 24 years old play all 82 hate this load management crap for what? They need time to grow together not rest 10 games in just cause

  6. Did you see JD and Ausar get into it over Ausar's missed rotation? Great teams hold each other accountable and hold no grudges or make it personal?

  7. Cade had his worst game of the year and they still got the win against a good Philly team. Great to see that happen though, Cade has been consistently passing to the first option once he's doubled, Philly did a great job at jumping that passing lane. Cade needs to read that defense better, guys need to react properly around him too though. There's a lot on this film that shows what they did wrong on Cade's turnovers and almost turnovers that just happened to bounce right. Despite all that, they won. Awesome to see.

  8. Hella call on the need to get Drum out of the game and the exact play (dribble hand off) to make that happen.

Should see more of JD keeping it and going hard to the hole moving forward. Who is that not going to work on if done 1 out of every 4/5 DHOs? I bet we do. Why? 'Cause Cade snapped his fingers and started using those long ass arms and those big ass hands to lead and pull through, forcing the whistlen' fools start calling the contact they were ignoring. Smart, disciplined coaches and players that pay attention and adjust.
