NBA Insider Marc Stein On Anthony Davis Trade Rumors:
One Western Conference official insisted to me that Davis will need weeks of sustained good play without injury interruption to convince teams to make representative offers for the 32-year-old closer to the trade deadline when he still has two full seasons left on a three-year, $175 million contract. As for where Davis himself stands: There has been no suggestion in the immediate aftermath of Harrison’s ouster that he would try to force his exit just because Harrison, who openly loved him and wanted to build around him, has abruptly been dismissed. It’s believed the Mavericks will work with Davis’ camp over the next two-plus months as they decide whether to pursue an in-season trade.”
