Massive Boost Incoming?! Pistons Health Update + Major Move Ahead? | Pistons vs 76ers Preview

The Pistons might finally be getting healthy again.
On today’s Pistons Jack Daily, we preview Detroit’s second NBA Cup matchup — a massive showdown vs the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night — and break down how the Pistons can secure their second Cup win despite an exhausting run of injuries.

We also dive into a new report from Marc Stein (The SteinLine) that the Dallas Mavericks are interested in interviewing Pistons Senior VP of Basketball Operations Dennis Lindsey for their open GM role after firing Nico Harrison.

And to close the show, I react to the ridiculous fake Anthony Davis–to-Detroit trade proposals circulating online and share my honest thoughts about whether the Pistons should make a splashy move before February’s NBA Trade Deadline.

NBA Cup. Injuries. Front office rumors. Fake superstar trades.
Today had a bit of everything.

  1. Honesty wouldn’t wanna break any type of chemistry this team has. Chem is at a literal 100% and still without Sasser and Ivey!

  2. Man i'd never give up JI for anything, we haven't saw how Cade and Ivey will fit together full season together since Detroit have a winning season. I assume hurrying for success is not really the best option for Detroit. They almost have everything they need but experience. Waiting for at least this year how our young core develop together is the best way.

  3. Whether or not we make a trade will likely depend on how Ivey assimilates. He still has yet to play with the good Pistons. Will he embrace the defensive mentality the team now has? Will he continue to be a knockdown shooter? These are the questions that need to be answered if he's going to remain a Piston. His contract kind of necessitates a bit of urgency, so hopefully his recovery is going smoothly so we can get some useful data on how he fits with the team now.

  4. I respect ad just don’t see that working over all with his injury’s and being 33 just doesn’t work in are for the future

  5. The fake trade is Clickbait. They would be foolish to trade for Davis, and I don’t think the Pistons front office is foolish.

  6. Don't want AD. Not even sure that I want Sabonis (Pistons listed as a trade destination for him on multiple sites) from the Kings who are selling. He isn't a willing scorer and can't protect the rim… that's not worth 42 million.

  7. I guess all of these "redrafts," "starting lineup grades," and "fake trades" are evidence of 2 things: 1. the Pistons are doing really well so much that a lot of people are aware and afraid of them and 2. there is a contingent of NBA fans who don't want the Pistons to be successful

  8. Why would we make the same mistake Dallas did!!? Hell no NO on AD! Our team is working AS IS, the boys are happy and we just need to get healthy! Don’t tear this up now!
