Fuck that! We don’t want him in Chicago! Back before he was traded he specifically said Chicago was one of the teams he didn’t want to be traded to! NOW* he wants to come? When he’s washed! Hell no! I hate to say it but press the blow up button and start over. The Luka trade ended an era that we thought could be recovered by with Nico fired, the vision is over and a plan for this year and the future isn’t set

Why can’t we just wait until the off-season and hope AD heals to be able to at least play half of the season (the entire team) to see what we have. To blow it up is dumb thinking IMO. Yes, Nico will still be the villain but it’s not smart, especially in the West where OKC has their core signed for long term. As much as I like Flagg, he has offensive deficiencies that I don’t see changing much in the next couple of years. I don’t want him having the ball at the end of the game and that’s a big issue that needs to be thought about deeply.

I think it's crazy to think you can get 1st round picks for AD. Imo the only way to get rid of him is to attach 1st round picks which Dallas does not have except the one from next year.

A more realistic trade is with Charlotte for Colin Sexton, Grant Williams, some salary fillers, and (MOST IMPORTANTLY) 2027 Mavs first round pick back. It sucks, but here's where we are in this new CBA environment.
This approach is completely stupid to me. Why are the Mavs afraid for both Kyrie and AD to get healthy. This team was built to win now. It may not happen this season but they would be assured of another top pick. All these guys will still be under contract to make a run at it again next year. Cooper Flagg is not the type of player to try to build around. He is just (or will be) a good complimentary player, not star. Hell, If in the lottery next year, I'd trade Flagg for the better AJ Dybanstsa. The Mavs have already wasted multiple years waiting for a championship; to have to start all over again. Doncic was there 6+ years and never won the NBA championship. I get that the ownership desires a "Great White" hope to appease the white "Fire Nico" fans in Dallas. A trade with Chicago for Vučević? Guy is 35 years old. This new ownership is the worst thing to ever happen to that franchise.

We already suck. We don't need to trade low on AD. If the Mavs get a top 3 pick this year, we can trade AD during the off season for a good veteran player instead of focusing on picks.

Mavs are prob not gonna trade him for now it is just rumors, but I think what Dumont is ACTUALLY doing is trying to get AD fully healthy, and trying to give it a chance to see how he plays with Kyrie bc they Rockets game AD looked the best of the Mavs when Kyrie was on the floor so we will see how those 2 play together for the 2nd time.

If AD wants to leave then let him. Nobody is holding anyone hostage at this point. Don't want him to go as I want to see him and Flagg develop a connection on the court without Flagg playing pseudo Point Guard to see what they can do. They was making that connection before AD got hurt.

I'd rather trade klay and d-lo. Keep the roster this season and see what they can do when kyrie comes back. If i had to trade Ad, i want someone who can do what he does on both ends of the court which not many players can do. Yes he is hurt a lot but he was healthy enough to help the lakers win a championship
