So Happy to see Scottie dominate the game on both ends of the court from beginning to end, reminds me of Kawhi when he led us to victory in 2019.
Only thing Rob, is that he has to do this consistently not two or three times a year! I know that he's human and that noones perfect but if and once he begins to have performances like this more consistently, no one will be able to deny him what he truly deserves & thats All NBA first or second team.
But thats entirely in Scottie's hands, we've seen he has the talent & potential but he has to show up like this night in and night out!
If he plays like this consistently, he will earn the respect & admiration of fans, haters & the entire league.
So a little love for R. J. Barrett. Yes he struggled for the most part. However his best basketball came in the 4th quarter – which helped the Raptors impressively close the game. For all his deficiencies Barrett is a mentally and physically tough player that does add value to a team.

I didn’t know anything about him the night before was drafted but once I saw the infectious joy on his face I was a believer. Tonight he arrived and was everything I had hoped he would become. You're %100 right around Shead being an absolute dog/true point. Alot of guys had a good game tonight especially Scottie. Glad they pushed through.. and btw I am someone that bet the over on the raptors W/L this season. $^^^
The reminder the people needed from Scottie Barnes. Also happy for IQ. Really hoping IQs struggle was due to lack of consistent play last year on the court and the answer is just letting Scottie & him build chemistry on the court. This is a team finding its way out of breaking losing habits. And im willing to wait until december to discuss trades

This win was a huge statement. I’m going to enjoy going around and listening to all the people who constantly dismissed how talented this roster was during the offseason. Also, Sandro Mamukelashvili might be the greatest free-agency acquisition in Raptors history.
I was watching this game thinking… man, I love watching this Scottie Barnes!! lookin like he owns the court and the ball all day. Also, kudos to you as a creator, even when I don't agree with all your takes, they are always sound, even when I find myself surprised how many unique ones you end up having and being able to back up! Even when your takes or perspectives don't exactly land, there's something valuable at the foundation in terms of ongoing insight for deeper observations that hold up.
I already loved Barnes from his first season, but you're insight over the years has made it that I could also envision and get even more excited for that top ceiling, even through the losing. Glad for the win! 🏀

Yo I really think we have our starting point guard Jamal shead even Quick Looks better playing alongside shead he opens everything up he is our connector I really hope he gets his chance at starting this year I believe that would make the team way better

What a game. Scottie was possessed – even just seeing him run down the court, controlling everything, so happy man.. and against real competition this is going to stick in everyone’s heads and you get to tell everyone I told you so.
Also, great game for Yak – hope he can stay in this form; he will show I was wrong to start doubting him .. could just be the performance but I think he’s looking like he put on a bit of weight (in a good way)? Here’s hoping he can build from this.
Monster night for SB4. Jalen Johnson had a monster night 31pts, 18r, 14a and 7 stls but Barnes is better imo 2 way atm

I agree with your take that this may be the best game Scottie has ever played. His hands were all over this game, offensively and defensively. Nothing says that more then when he just took that rebound from Brandon and just took off down the court and passed to Jakob. Jamal and Sandro will be here when all the dust settles and we balance this roster properly

I don't think I've seen Scottie do that no-look off hand bullet pass on a fast break since his rookie season in Boston. I think Scottie needs to get back to grabbing the board and initiating the fast break more. There was a reason why Scottie kept getting Magic comparisons, need to get back to that

This is the best team they have had since Scotties rookie year. Happy to see Darko seems to have partially figured out his rotations.
One thing I dislike is the 2 timeline talking point. So many championships wouldnt have been won in NBA history if teams traded all their good players away because they are 6 years older than their up and coming young stud.
Hell the first and last chips San Antonio won wouldnt have been won if they traded Robinson before the first and Duncan before the last just because they didnt fit the Duncan/Kahwi timeline.
Rob is hype, he has been waiting for this. Amazing performance by Scottie. It was exceptional but it really didn't show me anything I didn't already know – he is a special talent. This doesn't change a ton for me – we know he is capable of a ton – now he needs to do it night in night out – can't go passive anymore. On a side bar, Shead is emerging as natural leader. He is going to be a winner.
