Other than the bench, two things really stand out this year…defense and free throw percentage.
This is crazy how one player literally changed everything. Michael Porter Jr. was the problem the whole time, and once he was gone, the entire team transformed. After the trade, the defense is suddenly elite. Weak-side rotations are actually happening, helpers are flying around, and when Jokic doubles the ball handler, everyone else is finally moving the way they’re supposed to. It’s the same defensive system they’ve been running for the last 3–4 years… it just finally works now.
