Only the Detroit Pistons are clearly better than the Raptors, if things go well they'll end up being the 2nd seed.

Raptors were better than their record last year. Last year a number of the starters were either injured or were sitting, while the team played the rookies and bench. Near the end of the season the rookies and bench players were playing well enough, that the team fell in the draft positioning. Now everyone is back, plus they added Ingram, Mamu & CMB. The team has played 4 home games so far and 9 away games and sit in third place in the conference, winning 8 of their last 9 games.
