Both have avg about 52 games played over past 5 yrs, one is currently hurt & it’s questionable if he’ll either get back to form. AD WAS a much more versatile & better defender, but he’s almost 33 & didn’t look very mobile. AD can’t stretch it at all, he’s a pure post player now in a league where that’s going extinct. KP is a better rim protector & a much much more efficient scorer. Hard cap league now, AD costs almost double KP + assets & hes 2.5yrs older. He’s not a significant upgrade even in theory, he’s a giant risk best case that clogs the paint. The Spurs? Seriously?? Spend assets to improve title chances this yr when there’s no way they best OKC/Denver without injury. Trade Fox & alienate Klutch sports. Throw in Keldon Johnson cuz he’s just a matching salary & not one of the best bench players in the league & a fan favorite. Get Gobert bc “French connection” just wow. So if AD was to get traded, it would be to a team like the Rockets. A team that is trying to win now, and has young talent to send back. A package around Reed Sheppard and Jabari Smith would get it done.
