    Happy for this team, crazy they’ve done it all without Ivey as well with how talented he is. I’m also excited for Jenkins man he’s a baller and always thought he needed a chance in the league

    The people hating on the Pistons are flat-out insecure or scared. It’s clear when you watch them how much they’ve leveled up individually. Cade has taken a massive leap playmaking-wise. Sure his fg% and ts aren’t great rn but his court mapping in tight spaces is unreal now. This was now how Duren looked last season either. It’s just clear if you watch them play. Their defense also looks suffocating.

    I think one of the most under looked players we have is gonna be a hidden weapon. I haven’t heard a soul talk about Tolu smith, and with the depth of bigs the pistons have it’s understandable but his g league stats are crazy and in the minutes Tolu has played have been good. He’s gonna be an issue

    I thought that the Pistons might regress after the off-season we had. But I've been pleasantly surprised just how good my team has been thus far this season.

    One thing I like about the Pistons is the way that their big guys really seem to punish people inside. There are so many NBA teams where the centers just don't bring the level of physicality of Duren and Stew.

    Kobe isn’t even a top 10 player ever. He was always borderline inefficient. Dude shot 44 and 33 for his entire career. He was just a shot chucker. If he was drafted by any franchise other than the lakers(yea I know he was drafted by charlotte technically) he would barely sniff the playoffs each season. Yall are so delusional when I comes to Kobe. He has the shooting splits in the playoffs so don’t even bother bringing that up. Dude was a the Lakers. It’s easy to be an all time great on the lakers if you average 30 on mid to bad efficiency. These leagues are rigged for the big market teams. He was never that even close to goat level. Hes only thought of so highly because he died and was a laker.

    As a fellow bears fan, we had the 3rd toughest schedule before the season and now all of a sudden we didn’t play anybody. On the topic of the pistons, they are playing phenomenal.

    Championship team checklist:

    ✅️ Play like shit and still win the game
    ✅️ #1 option playing at an MVP level
    ✅️ Capable of winning without that #1 option

    ❓️Beat conference rivals/other contenders convincingly
    ❓️Head coach capable of making effective adjustments in playoff series

    They've got 3/5, I'd give em 4/5 but I'll acknowledge the "easy schedule" argument. Really just need to see how Bickerstaff elevates his coaching come playoff time

    Jenkins caused me to do a mental review of what has made the Pistons provide the performance that they have so far, and historical corelations to the BB & '04 teams. Both teams were defense & rebounding 1st teams. Both teams owned the paint on both ends. Both teams brought a pace-changing guard off the bench (Vinnie Johnson -BB & Lindsay Hunter ('04). Both teams had frontcourt depth (too many to list!😂) Both teams had youthful defensive minded starters @ the small forward (3) spot (Rodman/Prince respectively). Both had HOF guards (although one might be going to prison😮). And both teams made a team-changing trade mid-season. Now, except for the trade part (and I am not ready for that with this '25 edition), there are some weird similarities with the current team that is just that…weird!!😮😂. And oh yeah, they both had dudes you didn't wanna mess with physically!! Anybody see a connection there with this team??👀🤣🤣. They don't need Lauri 's bloated contract, and he does nothing to me to affect the game that I don't already have. And I think what Harris brings in value as that vet leadership, culture, and even talent exceeds Tobias value as an expiring contract just to be moved. I think Langdon is a brilliant GM with a pulse & feel for his team that Trader Jack & Joey D (once) had. I saw my 1st game @ Cobo Hall in 1967 @ 10, so yeah I am an old head (I prefer OG!😜). But what the Pistons are doing in rejecting the 5 out format that the Dubs brought and everyone tried to copy is by playing more 4-1 & 3-2 offense that teams are frankly, not prepared to play. They are literally owning the paint on both ends (a slight avg grade in team defensive rebounds is excused, if you realize that is from long-range 3-pt shooting, as they don't give up many paint points). 4-1 is Duren vs BBQ chicken across the league right now as his skill set and basket feel have grown. And the Pistons in pick and roll has become highlight theatre with Duren, Stew, Ausar & Holland available for that. And Ausar & Holland as baseline rim runners are available as outlets for Duren if doubled. I have 👀 a lot of 🏀 in my life, and trust me…these guys are legit, and like most great Pistons teams, they just don't care what you think!!😂 #313GRIT🏎️😊

    This is what they are supposed to do against bad teams, we were beating them without Cade, Ivey, Thompson etc. then, look at the scores at halftime, they are always up double digits at halftime so starters can sit more and they know they can comeback if needed towards the end of the game. They are looking like the 04 team more and more 💪
