  1. Of course. It's time to win now or look to trade all the prime players to get them better situated and get assets back to retry again. The entire point of the Scottie Barnes era is to win with Scottie Barnes. Not to lose with him until he's a free agent and lose him in free agency. Believe in the team. They got a real good team this year, and they should be a good team after adding an all-star to a formula that felt like it was missing an all-star.

  2. if you remove garrett temple raptors are the 3rd youngest team in the nba i believe. so ye raptors are young. our oldest actual player is yak at 30yrs old.

  3. In fairness, they won the following year right after he left, lol. 53-19, 2nd best record in the league. But yes, there's been a drought since. They look good so far!!!

  4. Did he just say the Raptors arent young? 😂 Take Temple off the roster (he doesn't play) and theyre the 3rd youngest team in the nba. As for the deadline, they'll look to make moves. Webster said as much at media day. He said this roster as current constructed would not be the same after the deadline.

  5. Finally Winning? They were out of the playoffs since 2022. This is a 2025 big deal; also they still were playoff bound after Kawhi left… it's when Lowry and FVV left then Raps had to build a new identity from ground zero….Overall, there are a bunch of other teams that don't regularly "WIN" or reach the playoffs or haven't been playoff teams for a long time, for example, Detroit. SI's YT title is just too extra smh

  6. From 2012-2020 the Raptors won the second most regular season games next to the GSW. We know what it feels like to win. Sigh…I wish they would do more than just check a stat sheet and pretend like they know what they're talking about.
It's been four years since they were relevant. When the pandemic shut down the league the Raps were second in the East. And that was after Kawhi had left.

Also, if the right possibility landed you make the trade. Always…

  7. other superstars need to quit being soft bishes and come up North, If your not going to LA team, Miami or GS, then Toronto is the place to be.

  8. Bi isn't getting enough credit. Everyone around him almost is shooting career highs in numbers because of the double teams he attracts and gravity. He's competing defensively more than he EVER has. His attempts per are the lowest they've been since LA yet avg 21 on 49% shooting and that's with him in a shooting slump from 3. He also plays a ton of off ball , also more than ever in new Orleans. this Black hole narrative is old cuz he not doing that at all in toronto. In new Orleans? For sure. Scottie and rj no longer deal with top tier defenders because bi does. It's given them more freedom than they've had in a long ass time

  9. A lot of ChatGPT takes here. 6 seasons isn't even a long rebuild. Not young… Let's be so for real, how much younger do you need to be? Clearly someone who doesn't watch Raptors basketball because the answer to his question is good team defense + Shead.

  10. They’re seeing Raptors stats for the first time or they’d bring up Shead before Mamu despite him being so solid

  11. Video just started…I know they’re going to not mention RJ. Because Mannix is predictable.

Got to the end…I was absolutely right 🙄…to anyone whom doesn’t watch Tor, RJ’s been their most consistent player. They’ve been a big 3.

  12. Yeah this is pretty brutal. If you’re going to talk about a team maybe do a bit more than skim their bball ref page in the 30 seconds before you hit record.

  13. Shead, Ochai, Ja'Kobe, Mogbo, Chucky Hepburn and Alijah Martin are all dogged defenders. They do need another defensive big, though..

  14. Thanks for talking about the Toronto Raptors, they are fun to watch, it's been awhile, so just enjoying the games, the rest will take care of itself

  15. As a raptors fan I have kept ALL the receipts. All the analysis saying “I just don’t get this team”. Or “they just don’t make sense. Their players all need the ball in there hand” or my favourite “they’re so expensive”. I love it! All the talking heads now trying to act like they e always believed lol

  16. I thought i saw pigs flying, cause this is Rachel Nichols/espn talking about the Raptors. I appreciate it, shocked. Fun team to watch if you haven't watched them. They tanked last year and i really like CMB, very draymond like, better athlete. Shead is one of the best on ball one on one pg's i have seen, watching 41 years. Next year they will have it really together and they haven't played their best yet. Peace from canada 🇨🇦

  17. Much of the Raptors current fan base is very used to winning. They had the winning-est record in the NBA over nearly a decade. With conference finals runs and a championship in there! The last two seasons are the outlier for any fan that began rooting for the Raps 2013 and onward. They're not some perennial losing team like the Kings or Knick's were not very long ago

  18. People in Toronto are excited because this team is better than you think it is and are only going to get better. 🤔🇨🇦

  19. Thanks for talking about our Raptors ! One thing the Raptors need is another 7ft rim protector , though ! Without that they are walking a tight rope ! Great chemistry with this team ! Fun to watch !

  20. I’ll take my raptors serious when they beat some good teams like Detroit and teams out west. Right now they are a mid team benefiting off a weak schedule.

  21. They made the playoffs a couple of years after Kawhi left the "rebuild" has only been a couple of years not that long at all.

  22. Make up for bluejays man i wanted bluejays 2 win that what a great baseball team.. Kawhi made huge mistake n the bball gods will bless raptors again build in this team

  23. Good point about the lack of plus defenders in the starting line up, but maybe Darko can help change that during the season. Last year was a development year, of playing four rookies & young players, while the starting line up was quite often either injured or sitting games. The Raptors were better than their record last year and could have made the playin, if they played their starters more often, but that wasn't the focus. Big issue to me at this point, is not having someone to replace Poeltl, if he is injured.
