As a raptors fan Barrett has been the same no matter how the roster has changed and I have liked that a lot.

RJ Barrett has been really good and he's just in a little slump.
Raps are a 4th seed.
Raps fan knew this was it. Everyone was judging them by last season they tanked to give there rookies experiance and rested ingram. This year they are hungry. all thats needed is a backup big to battle the monsters out there. Then it will be locked. Mamu is a very important part of this club. His spacing has created alot of looks.

Addition of brandon has done big things for this team in many areas. He attracts the most attention and is the #1 option on offense which has allowed scottie and rj to do a ton of damage against other teams 2nd and 3rd best defenders. ThEy dont have to get hassled by the other teams top defender all game anymore. With a lesser load barnes is playing the best hes ever played and has energy now to play defense , run the breaks , go get boards , knock down open shots and attack the rim. Its been massive bi just being on the floor. They also still get a ton of opportunities especially in transition because bi isnt a transition player really. Hes a half court guy so pretty much on all the transition buckets its iq barnes and rj running a 3 on 2 etc. Its been seamless so far
The Raptors have SO much depth. It’s a weird problem that because they are, knock on wood, so healthy that guys like Battle, Ochai, and Mogbo are not getting any run. They basically have too many capable wings but lack depth behind Poetle. Personally, I would keep RJ who’s playing a bit of D (!) and invest in depth behind Yak. Ochai plus 2nd round picks might get us some insurance
fast transition and their team play is a joy to watch…but they still lack backup centre
Battle is the best shooter in the NBA…..
I was confident in our starting lineup, but Jamal Shead, Mamu, and CMB have been absolutely amazing everytime they step on the floor. Great additions to our team
Raptors 4 life!! I screamed at the rooftops. Once we got BI, I knew this team would open up. Very good coaching as well. Remember what Darko said about Barnes “face of the league” never forget it.
I said we was going to be a top 6 seed I even went as far and said after 15 games we would be 1st in the east ya cause I knew this team and how hungry they were and are what annoys me is the disrespect first to darko a great coach then to rj and Poeltl ESPECIALLY POELTL this guy is a really good center AND HE IS THE REASON WE SO GOOD RIGHT
If Ingram plays at least 70 games, Raps are top 5 in the east maybe even Top 3.

I think your assessment on RJ is spot on. He has solid stats and some great moments, but he often has tunnel vision and falls asleep on defense regularly. Having an off-ball player with plus defense instead would make the starting lineup a lot more potent imo.
1 guy I would love is Dillon brooks to package rj a pick to intrigue the suns who don’t have any picks you swap Canadian for Canadian and brooks is exactly the player we would need his shown his ability to create of the dribble have explosive nights so Dillon brooks would be my favourite
OG? We have CMB now and he might not be injury prone like OG
RJ Barrett has adapted well, putting full effort into any role he’s given. He is a major plus. Many NBA analysts can’t shake their old narrative around his game. We love and appreciate Barrett in Toronto and want him long term.
