  1. The Detroit Pistons have a set identity. They are tough and control the paint. They are defensively intimidating while running an efficient offense with Cade at the helm.

Okc is a defending champions of 2025 going against a newly formed rockets team without long standing chemistry compared to them, no point guard, dfs, fvv, tari eson, or even a proven winning team system with a 37 year old kd and that was their first game together against okc with a young or prime sga, Chet, jdub, and others and that game went to overtime and the rockets only lost by 1 point. Plus it was okc home game so they had a massive home court advantage already. The rockets did good despite those circumstances going against that okc team.

  3. "Teams don't play defense". In the ending minutes of close games and come playoffs, they do and that's when the mental blow he was alluding to would come in helpful for the Rockets.
