Jaylen Clark to the rescue! If they can keep Jaylen Clark and McDaniels on the floor in the non Rudy minutes its going to be ok.
Wolves gonna be alright — avoid the play-in at all costs and they can make a run come playoff time
I do think the offense is for real and the defense is more like what it has been lately but we won't really know for a month or so
They were without Ant for some of those games
Naz started terrible and ant was out for multiple games
Important context for one of the Lakers and Nuggets losses: No Ant or Clark. Those are two of the Wolves best 3 wing defenders. They lost those games due to wing players going off. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.
Tired of national analysts always talking about trying to make Ant think as if he is stoopid. Never heard anyone ever say this about any other player. Tatum. Mitchell. Shai. Etc. Etc. Is he a top 8 player or not? If so, he cant be too stoopid. And if he is one of the dumbest players in the league, imagine if he wasn't?
The wolves always prioritize working on their weaknesses in the early part of the season. The offense focus and worked has lifted them past the bad teams because they just play one good quarter of defense in those games and they get the separation they want. This team is still going to be a top ten defense, just not until they tighten down what they know later in the season.

Ant wasn’t playing in a couple of those loses to above .500 teams
Ant didn't play for one of the Denver and one of the Laker games. And the Knicks game was on the road, and his first game back from being out for multiple games (and he was pressing too hard, trying to beat his friend, pretty understandable for who he is hah). The other two losses are game two in la where the wolves were up and just slowly frittered it away, and Denver (both Denver losses were actually second night of a back-to-back if I recall correctly)
So yeah, in a vacuum it looks bad, but missing our best player for 40%, and the other three losses being fairly understandable…. I think that narrative is extraordinarily overblown
What I do know is that Anthony Edwards has brought this team to the Western conference final two seasons in a row, tripling our post-season success as a franchise, in the span of 60 weeks
