This Doesn’t Look Good For Trae Young…

The end of the Trae Young era could be upon us in Atlanta…

Now we have gone through this before with Trae being a little unhappy, the team rebuilding around him, possible trade rumors in the past!

But this feels different

A scenario is unfolding here that could make it very clear to the Hawks and to Trae Young, that they are simply better off going their separate ways this season

  1. Trae is a star player but he doesn’t fit with the team’s identity of playing intense defense. The passing is still really good without trae especially the cutting and the team seems to flow better without him. The shooting is way more spread out as well the team ranks first in assists without him. I’m also very concerned that Traes shooting has continued to regress every year. The team ranks 4th in defense without trae. I will say if trae wants the max he’s not worth it or anything close to a max. If he wants a 5 for 125 or 140 then it is easier to make him apart of the future

  2. Trae has been sliding the past few seasons. Here’s his PER starting in 21-22, which was his peak:

    2022 – 25.4
    2023 – 22.0
    2024 – 20.3
    2025 – 18.3
    2026 – 16.7 (only 139 minutes)

If I were Hawks management, I wouldn’t want to give a big contract to a guy in a multi-season decline. The 2026 Pelicans pick that they own is looking really good. Maybe it’s time to move.

  3. I really don't understand NBA fans. It's like everybody has amnesia. Do we not remember last season before the Jalen Johnson injury that we were a 6 seed and they were a top 10 duo? Trae coming back is going to put the league on notice. They were playing the exact way when Trae was active but shots weren't falling. Now they are and we're right where we predicted the team would be in the offseason, 4-5 seed.

  4. Top 5 Defense + Top 10 Offense
    ================
THAT is what is going to win you some rings – Problem is, with today's CBA, players are going to have to make that "career choice". Do they want the bag or do they want the ring? Look at LBJ, how many more rings do you think he'd have if he, Westbrook and AD had each sacrificed $5-6mil/yr? Build up some bench depth, maybe bring in a sniper for $15-20mil? Same with LBJ's 2nd tour in Cleveland, nothing but short-term mercenary contracts. Under the new CBA, you can't pay 3players 2/3s of your cap and expect to compete. Trae's going to have to make that decision

  5. Trae is very good PG on the offense at least. The problem is the salary you gotta pay him, he is simply not worth supermax. Compare him to Brunson, he definitely is not more imapctful than Jalen. Unfortunately, after being drafted to the franchise without identity, he became its a main guy. And now he kinda expects max money. Trae taking paycut would be great addition to Hawks or any team. Trae on supermax contract, does not bring enough to the table.

  6. Trade him to the magic they need a guard badly same with the rockets maybe get jabari smith and some picks or players

  7. It's not a mystery. He doesn't play defense and is ball-dominant on offense. You have to add shooters and lob dunkers around him. His style stifles other potential stars and results in too much standing around waiting for Trae. If he had a shot like Curry, this would be effective, but he's just not a good shooter.

I'll say it. He's the most overrated player in the NBA because of his counting stats. This should not have been a surprise if you looked deep into his numbers.

  8. You would ALSO let Luka walked too during last offseason too cause he was fat and also play bad defense and complains to ref all the time huh noob 😮

  9. Nah…they look better without him…they look like a TEAM
…..instead of one guy just dribbling around,,jacking up logo threes, only passing when he cant get HIS shot,😊😊

  10. I’m sorry, dude, but you have made this exact same video like eight times over the past five years and it’s very old. Yes the Hawks have had success without him over the past couple weeks, but they have not beaten any good teams. They’re beating up on the league’s bottom feeders, and they have been an elite defensive team without him, but one single player cannot completely sink a defense by themselves and they will also have a much better smoother offence rather than that hot potato half court off they’ve been playing without him, which is not a sustainable recipe for long-term success.

  11. What doesn't look good for Trae? Is the league gping to actually start calling flopping and traveling?

  12. Suggs, Jett, and Tyus for Trae Young.

    Magic:
    1. Trae
    2. Bane
    3. Franz
    4. Paolo
    5. WCJ
    6. Black

    Hawks:
    1. Dyson
    2. Suggs
    3. Risacher
    4. Johnson
    5. Porzingis
    6. Tyus

  13. I don't comprehend how anyone expects Trae young to lead you to a championship without hustling or playing defense. Dude can hit deep threes great playmaking skills however if facing a good coach with a smart defensive team he gets shut down quick in the playoffs. The Hawks should part ways now while his value is still high get back the role players and picks they need to puch them over. Trae would make any team better however the same defensive liability will follow him wherever he goes.

  14. Jaylen Brown BREAKDOWN you're next video Sporting Logically 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤
