The title of the video makes zero sense
Trae Young can opt out of his contract in the summer. If the Hawks have no intention of paying him the amount he’s asking for then they should absolutely trade him.
1) Why do you believe Trae Young will buy into anything? 2) If he doesn't, they're just gonna hand the car keys to him again and the young guys will keep getting jerked around between good system and bad system …. how long is that gonna continue? It's been over a year for the Sixers. 3) Even if he DOES …. does that mean he's gonna be good at his new role? He's not the sharpshooter his reputation says it is. 4) And regardless of all that, there's still the defense. Was the bad Hawks defense 100% his fault? No. And so what? He's still a small and bad defender. NBA history says it's virtually impossible to win a title if your best player doesn't play defense. NBA history also says it's virtually impossible to win a title if you're heliocentric.

The thing that changed the hawks was getting Dyson Daniels, 22 years old and leading the league in steals inspired the whole team to play defense the only person who never bought in defensively is Trae Young seriously. I watch all our games the energy is different we got hella wings at 6'9 and up so when you play Trae teams attack him and he was statistically the worse defender in the league not joking. Small scoring guards are not it in the league anymore because guys who can play one on one defense dont want to have to cover up your mistakes they'll help on defense but who wants two defensive assignments and have to be locked in on offense too its not todays game. They’ve beat up on the league worst teams and boosted their net rating over this stretch and their halfcourt O is still awful without him. Nice little run but not sustainable without him. But with that being said Trae will still lead the leauge in Pnrs as he should when he comes back, but he needs to be fully locked in on defence and just try his best because when he tries, he’s not a huge negative only a slight negative and that’s completely acceptable when you’re one of the games best offensive players

trae been there long enough to see they won't be nothing but a 40 win team as trae as the best player. He don't play D won't even try to be a better defender, horrible shot selection too often and dont want to win the best way for the team he wants win he wants win his way. The best way for the Hawks to be better is trae getting off the ball way more and I've been saying that for years.
