The hope is the fact that the team has its first round picks, and the current crop of up and coming college athletes is very promising.
the only hope we have is playjng college ball right now. because i hear theres atleast 5 prospects and we all know kings could lose every game from here and will still get 5th pick at best

Matt, I agree that the top-4 players that are on the trading block are 1. DeMar DeRozan, 2. Zach LeVine, 3. Dennis Schroder, and 4. Sabonis.
I think that of the 4, I would want to keep Sabonis. The reason why is that he (as opposed to the other 3), bring it on the defensive end each game. Yes, he can't stop opposing centers but he IS a great defensive rebounder. Zach, DeMar, and even Dennis are basically total liabilities on the defensive end. If we had to keep one of the 4, I would keep Sabonis. Plus, he was a strong part of the Beam Team and is not past his prime yet.
The worst part is that the Kings can't even build a lead, always playing from behind, down by 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, even playing catch up from 50 points behind. Kings fans do NOT deserve this garbage.
Who would have thought, playing 3 guards wouldn't work? Yes, please get the vets out. Many are producing & dont deserve the disrespect that the owner, the coach, & the fo show them. Sacramento will probably never get free agents due to the incompetency.

Playing for Sacramento where players can easily become a star because our city isn't that big and players can stand out and make a name for themselves.

Not saying Maxime did great or anyone did but 7’1 vet Luke Kornet could hardly grab like 2-4 rebounds against Edey a guy who holds most offensive rebounds in one game this season. Spurs were outrebounded by nearly 20
This is like listening to two dudes who have never built a house critique. Two other dudes who are building a bad house. It's a no-brainer that the current situation could be improved with addition by subtraction. You take DeRozan and Schroeder off this roster. And it immediately becomes a team that if healthy, can compete on a nightly basis and be fun to watch and root for. The problem isn't Domontes, Monk and Lavine. All three of those players could be a core of a winning team if the team was coached by someone with just a little bit of basketball intuitiveness. I'm not watching one more minute of Kings basketball until they make a move to play the young guys. Devin Carter has been apart of some of the most exciting winning basketball moments in the last 2 years like the run against the Cavaliers last year. Nique is the next superstar point guard if he is given the opportunity to grow. Precious is a force waiting to happen with the right coaching. Right now tonight. DeMarcus Cousins would be an upgrade from any of the healthy centers on the current roster so why not bring him in for the possibility of redemption.
Matt, I seem to remember a player similar to Kuminga that was deemed a possible problem on the teams he was on. Chris Webber seemed to work out pretty well for the Kings. OK ok ok, i hear you. Yes Chris was a much better player at the time than Kuminga, but when he came to the Kings, Adelman told him that he was THE MAN here in Sactown. He came and took on the alpha role. If the Kings do it right, i would bring in Kuminga and Doug should tell him that he is THE MAN. Give him full reign to be our #1 player and see what he can do. Can it be worse than the "your turn, now my turn" ball we are seeing now?
Listen if your a true fan You never lose hope..listen the only thing I see that's a down falls with them. Giving up..you have a real good team. No doubt..every one is the star on this team.. I never say I hope the kings win. I believe every game is theirs. No matter who they play..I'm a fan.. hope is what..I hope people will see people as people..I hope we all come together and make sure our children and any other child never never go without eating, never go without a roof over their heads. Go without grown folks missing them..if your a fan be a fan ….

How can I trust anyone with the Kings. If they really thought Derozen and Levine would work is a clown not to mention Sabonis is a coach killer and is just not that good except for rebounding. Lmao
I think our hope comes from not finishing mid-pack again. It's well known that mediocre is not the best place to finish if we want to build a contender. Bottom dwelling gives us a better chance of a great pick in the deep draft coming this summer. Plus, we will start to see more of the younger players, and no doubt some key trades are coming. Sabonis for Kuminga and whoever makes the money work, and a protected first round pick sounds great to me. This is the draft to have 1st round draft capital, according to my magic 8-ball anyways.
The only hope kings fans need is to hear there is a new owner.
Almost forgot to post my positive thought for the day. The Kings are currently experiencing 0 games in a row of giving up 40 points in a single quarter.

Had to suffer through the Joe Klein draft and Derek Smith trade. Through the first decade of no playoffs. The heartbreak of Game 7. Loyal to the team despite bad draft after bad draft. Luka. Curry. Dame. Spida. How the hell did I know to draft those guys instead of Marvin Bagley, Tyreke Evans, Thomas Robinson, and Justin Jackson/Harry Giles, but the Kings' brass failed repeatedly? And now somehow, it's worse.

Haliburton WANTED to be in Sacramento. He WANTED to be a part of turning the team around and the Kings traded Haliburton because they thought he couldn't play with Fox. Fine….dumb but fine. But then you trade Fox and get NOTHING of value back and now you have no starting quality point guard. You trade for a past his prime Derozan, then trade for Lavine who doesn't play winning basketball. You sign Shroeder who is a backup and then sign Westbrook who is on his 7th team for a damn good reason.
The Kings are the worst run team in the league.
