How do you feel about Jordi Fernandez's approach to Egor Demin's minutes in recent games?
The nets have a development problem they really do and it starts with jordi.
What he has been doing so far is simply unconscionable and so shortsighted itās becoming close to coaching negligence. And the truth is, I believe that the only reason that Igor is getting the time that he is getting his only because he is the 8 th pick in the draft and he would get constant questions if he wasnāt other than that heād have him in the G league as well and itās a problem.
If the outcome is going to be that youāre going to lose a lot of games, regardless of whether the veterans play or if the rookies play, then you should be playing the rookies giving Tyrese Martin 20 minutes a game so that you donāt have to play Nolan or Ben when he was not hurt Leads me to believe that jordi might not be the right coach to develop these kits because he doesnāt have the patience necessary for player development.
Heās going to Tyrese Martin himself out of a job in two years because in the end of the day, she is not going to be judged on how he developed Tyrese Martin whoās already 27 years old heās going to be judged on how quickly she was able to bring these rookies into the fold and right now he aināt doing it . Heās playing sharpe whoās good for at least three bonehead fouls per game over Danny Wolf.
Shortsighted bullshit by jordi. December 15 canāt come quick enough marks must step in and start trading these guys.
Claxton, Terrence Mann, Sharpe these guys gotta go. We are losing anyway it doesnāt matter whether you lose by five points or lose by 20 weāre losing anyway. So to have this hardheaded approach that well Iād rather lose with veterans is just really bad.
Should think about building around mpj š š
Nets tied, Egor comes in, Boston goes on 7-0 run, Jordi calls timeout and subs him out. What's the problem?
Iām getting so sick of this from other fans. Jordiās job is to put the most competitive team on the court. Players do not develop when they are getting blown out by 45 every game. Players like Danny Wolf and Saraf need the time to build confidence in the G league and in practice before they get serious minutes in the NBA and late first round picks just about never get minutes to start the season. Nobody should be shocked by us being 2-12, we are tanking and this is exactly where the team needs to be.
I want a Drake Powell episode soon even when the box score isnt showing it, hes been so underrated and hes shown flashes of a dangerous offensive game hes so fun to watch
I think I am the only Nolan Traore fan, but I'm rooting for him. I hope he gets more minutes soon.
Yea jordi dropping the ball on this one heās supposed to be our future and he gets benched for playing bad jordi sabotaging us š he wants wins so bad
So Egor is getting 20+ minutes a game and continuing to improve. I don't have a problem with how Coach Jordi is handling him or Drake. I REALLY would like to see D-Wolf play alot more then two minutes at the end of the game.
as a hispanic i love jordi, but he needs to be out of this team if he not put the rookies after december.
4:49 – "At the end of the day" is a bad cliche. What's the argument? Jordi wants to win, and he'll play guys capable of contributing towards winning. Egor will get his chance, but he needs to manage those heavy weaknesses that cause Jordi to yank him from the game
So we gone talk about how god Drake got subbed out at the end of the 3rd during our run and we collapsed from that point on??
Even if you were tanking, why would you not play your rookies? This is a great opportunity for all of them to gain tons of experience.
Mike has to be more aggressive in the 4th in terms of scoring. As the #1 now, he needs to take charge in the 4th. Help teammates first 3 quarters. Then in the 4thz we talking 6-8 shots taken. It will instill confidence in the team.
Vvvv
Eric you keep making the same point that heās not trying to make two pointers. Heās not trying to get downhill and self create, etc. but on the flipside, youāre also admitting that heās on a very short leash.
I put this on the coaching staff and on the head coach if he believed that he could get outside of his comfort zone and do some of the things to try to learn without being kicked out of the game maybe he would do more of those things so instead, what heās done is do the thing that keep him on the floor.
Thatās the problem Eric with having a head coach that doesnāt allow him to make the mistakes heās not gonna take risks. And not taking risk means slower growth.
Am I the only one who likes Ben Saraf more than Egor Demin?
Great episode!
Thank you!
Brooooooooklynnnnnn!
I've been pleasantly surprised with Egor. Some struggles are to be expected.
