  1. Besides a relatively healthy Denver team, who I still think has a solid chance to beat OKC in a 7 game series…no one else can compete with OKC. I'm not sold at all on the Rockets at this point.

  2. I think only non-basketball related factors would keep OKC from winning. Very rarely you see engines this well oiled, this level of chemistry, this level of continued growth and ability to step up from all sides.

If you beat them it feels like they more so beat themselves from poor shot selection or guys like Lu dort having an irregular bad shooting night.

Houston and Denver can make the series gritty and tough, and I know OKC did not look crazy in the last playoffs, but it feels as if they honestly underperforemed last year vs what they were capable of

  3. No, the Nuggets just took a dump against the Kings. Schedule loss, my arse. These are twenty and thirty somethings, losing a little sleep isn’t going to have that much of an effect.

  4. What are yall people talking about? Denver had okc last year in 7 games with one legged Gordon and one armed Mpj. They added first time some real backup players and have much more better team than last year.

  5. The Rockets and Denver can compete with OKC both teams have advantages that give them a chance against OKC, OKC fans get so act like they are the 2017 warriors

  6. OKC if healthy would be more likely to sweep any opponent they play than to lose a series. Houston objectively matches up best against them and it would still be a long shot for them to win.

  7. I think the nuggets are the only team with a real shot against the thunder. Jokic is so uniquely equipped to deal with okc even though he did have, for his own standards, a not so hot series against them last year. I do worry though, because our small sample size of matchups against the thunder last year aren't an accurate representation of either team now. The nuggets are measurably better both on paper and in reality, but so are the thunder. I think the only potentially exploitable issue for the thunder is that they can hit real shooting lulls like we saw a few times last year. That being said, shooting lulls don't mean much if the thunder can consistently hold teams to such low scoring games. The only reason I believe in denver is because they have a walking offensive engine in jokic who can seemingly create good offensive possessions out of thin air. It would take a rather magical series from jokic and murray to beat the thunder in anything less than 7. Shit it might take a miracle to beat the thunder in general, but I've seen miraculous series from jokic and murray before.

  8. I think the nuggets have the best chance to compete with the Thunder. That said though, the way they play against the Kings makes me think that OKC would beat them in 5.
